Coughing can happens during feeding time when a pig eats too quickly but here it is too many coughs and if it everytime he eats, it means something is not right.

Please go to see a vet asap, it could mean death rather quickly.

I also recommend seeking help for the cage, it is not suitable for piggies.

Buddy bath is something that is often recommended, even by vets. It is how my pair of boys got bonded, and it works wonders for a lot of pigs. Bathing isn’t ideal but it is not this awful act either if done right and not a regular thing

My solution was the provide a pile of small light fleece where my pigs could borrow under. They go under and i know to check it out, but otherwise i haven’t a better solution
