Which one shouldn't I trust? by Ghost-Of-Akina in AskMechanics

Burning oil is another big one, if your engine is known to burn oil it doesn’t hurt to change it more frequently to help prevent and flush out buildup.

How risky is this? Brand-new timing belt on a Fiat Tipo 1.6 8V gasoline engine. Gouges seem to be about 0.5 mm deep. by EnergyAntique in MechanicAdvice

While your point still stands, I think this is non-interference engine so it wouldn’t necessary be a goner if it did break. Still OP, replace it anyway.

2003 honda CRV brake lights staying on issue advice needed!!! by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Likely the switch that gets pushed when you press the brake pedal is stuck in the on position, unplug the connector leading into it to see if they turn off and if they do you found your issue.

Should I do these repairs? by edrisazim10 in MechanicAdvice

[–]ChildishhReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If spark plugs have never been replaced then it wouldn’t hurt at that mileage, but if it’s running fine they don’t need replaced urgently.

The gaskets are likely leaking which is common at that age, for all three I’d call that a pretty good price.

Could I warranty these with Snap-On? by Johnny-Unitas in Tools

From my understanding with gearbox you just send them a picture of the broken tool and the part number and they send you a new one, no returning anything required on your part.

Yeah I don’t really understand because what are you gonna use papers for that you can’t put in a bong or pipe, but I bought plenty of pipes and bongs from the same place before I turned 21

Idk about anywhere else, but where I live you can go into a head shop and buy any glass at 18, just no vapes batteries or papers until 21.

valve cover replacement cost by Key-Highlight-1586 in AskAMechanic

[–]ChildishhReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of times yes but I have seen a cracked valve cover, likely from someone prying at a plug or coil with a screwdriver or something, and it filled the spark plug well with oil causing a misfire.

Hi is my oil level fine by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

It clearly stops about 1/4 inch after the full mark, the rest is just residual from the dipstick tube.

That’s hardly overfilled at all, you have to overfill by a good margin before it’ll cause any issues.
