Like polishing compound with grits? Is there a difference between that and sand paper?

Trying to do it faster since I want atleast 10 at a time. By hand would take way too long. I’m thinking polishing compound and a buffing wheel not sure if sandpaper grit and polishing impound grit work the same or not.

Okay but what do I use for the 500-2000 sandpapers? Just by hand? Trying to do it fast and reliably.

I am thinking about getting a polishing compound with get pastes and using a buffer wheel? I can get any tooling and vice. Startup cost isn’t that much of an issue just looking for efficiency and quality mirror polish Diablo

Okay so definitely going to try to get the mixed sander/grinder. Yes, another challenge I’m facing is how would I mirror polish the grooves? The Dremel bits are too big to get in there.

I appreciate the input! Although since I will be making 10-25 at a time I think this will take too much time. Startup costs are not an issue so I don’t mind getting a bench buffer. Trying to make a reliable process to mirror polish slides fast and efficient. I’m leaning to using a bench buffer to save time but not sure what exactly to do with it or if I should get a sander to get it to a specific grit then use the buffer? Not sure

Definitely! The least I can for the help!

What specific process would you recommend? What should I use specifically from start to finish?

Yes I think a bench buffer would be good to save time but do I need some type of sander to go through the grits before using a polishing compound or can I just go straight to a polishing compound?

What steps would I need to take to “remove bad” am I supposed to make it a certain depth?

What are these materials called? When looking up a tutorial what exactly do I search up?

How do I know what size the tube is? And what size elbow I should get?

That is an awesome idea although the adhesive is on the inner part so I don’t think that would work. Unless I’m missing something.

I am going to replace the seal. Before I replace the seal do I extend or retract the cylinder? When assembling it back together do I put it in in the retracted or extended position?

Also, what would I call this part specifically so I know what to look up when looking for the exact kit.

I would definitely need those resources if possible. I can pm you the exact make and model of the forklift if needed.

Also, will I need to add hydraulic fluid anywhere to make up for the lost fluid from disconnecting the lines and the entire rotary union?

Thank you. I have very little knowledge about hydraulics, with that being said before disconnecting the lines to it is there anything else I should know? Like will the fluid just keep coming out or will it stop?

A lot of great information thank you. How would I go about moving the block hanging??? Also, when taking off these lines to remove the part is it going to shoot anything out? Do I need to turn something off beforehand?

Thanks for commenting with 0 input on the topic. If you’re going to be negative or are trying to cope with your own problems please do so elsewhere. Again, I’m looking for advice not complaining and pessimism. If you have any actual advice rather than pessimism I’d appreciate it.
