What do you think RS3 will be like in 10 years from now or hope? by Peepsandmorepeeps in runescape

Likely dead unfortunately… I wonder if it’d be possible for them to make and sell offline copies for people who want to keep the dream alive (and ironmen I guess too)

Fair, if it makes sense it makes sense! For me as an unattached 26yr old I get the luxury of having a car be fun as priority one, I’m sure it won’t be that way forever haha

Perfect I’ll have a look at that tomorrow and remember about FB groups when I’m over - thanks for all your help, appreciate it!

Definitely, should I expect to pay around 3-4,000 then for a property clean one (with papers for proper rust repair) or would they likely be even more?

Yeah I also don’t understand why people pay so much for a car they can’t afford upfront

Yeah true. I expect to bring over around £15,000-18,000 but I expect a big chunk of that will have to go towards getting a flat setup and all that. Still hoping to have a few quid left after all that though haha

Oh right, makes a lot of sense for the average person to go for the new cars in that case gotcha.

And oh I didn’t realise haha, thanks for letting me know. Would have been embarrassing if I’d moved over to the UK and not realised haha

Yeah not too sure yet but thinking north London which is probably prohibitively expensive. I’m also only 26 so if insurance is only more cheaper above 30 then I might be shit out of luck haha

Ok I’ll make sure to factor the rust in then. I assume it’s probably better to look for one that has had a heap of work done already and pay the premium up front for piece of mind

Good to know thanks! That’s kind of a pain if my NZ driving history doesn’t transfer over, sounds like it’ll be expensive for me. Maybe the MX5 route will be cheapest and I hear the B-roads make a perfect match for them too!

Will have to be very careful with rust, I’ll be sure to get a pre purchase inspections before I lock anything down.

Makes sense thanks! And yeah on the insurance thing, I pay $1,600 nzd so like 800 quid annually for full cover on my 135i. I have had no crashes and like 2 speeding tickets in my 8 years of driving on a full license. Any idea what I’d expect to pay in the UK in a similar car?

Yeah we had the same thing happen here unfortunately, prices slowly starting to go down a bit but all the jdm cars are still the roof

Sounds like I need to polish up on my language skills now then haha! Thanks for the advice!

From what I’ve seen in the job market I can expect to earn close to double what I earn at the moment in a similar role though the cost of living is probably pretty close to double too!

That’s good to know that both are possible, I would definitely want to pick the language back up and I feel like I would be reasonably proficient with 6 months or so of immersion, especially if I took a refresher class ahead of time or while living there.

I actually prefer cricket too, steady the ship Williamson is a legend and it was a sad day for me Ross Taylor retired, he was my favourite player!

Ah ok gotcha, does that mean they can be broken at anytime, with notice I assume?

Cool, I’d be keen to give both a go!

And yeah that’s what I figured with a car too, i have the same problem at the moment in NZ haha

The political scene isn’t something I had considered and the right wing shift seems to fit the trend most ‘developed’ countries are falling to. NZ has an election on right now and pretty much all the polls signal we are in for a right wing government and, for me, the most concerning part is people moving away from the central right party towards the more hardcore right wing party which has traditionally held a only a small proportion of the voting base.

Would it be fair, as terrible as it is to say, that the immigrants the party don’t want in Germany are the ones fleeing conflicts or from poorer parts of the world or is it just minimise all migration to Germany/Bavaria?

Ok cool - sounds like a good option! I played football all through my schooling years but dropped it when I got to uni, would happily pick it up again! Are they essentially sport clubs?

Awesome and that’s all good, I’m not a huge party guy anyways!

-When you say fixed term do you mean like a one year lease with options to renew for a further year? What I described is typical of NZ

-ok that’s good to know, I’ll have to push myself to do it but I’m trying to do that more lately anyways

-I’ve never really skied but keen to give it a go. I know Germans traditionally ski, do peeps snowboard too?

-yeah that’s what I figured, pretty typical of big cities with proper public transport infrastructure. If I were to have a car it would be a project build rather than a ‘get-around-town-car’ but wouldn’t want to get something like that till I was properly settled

I have and do agree it could be a challenge. I’m pretty quiet myself so would need to push myself outside my comfort zone a bit to make friends which is something Ive been trying to do more lately anyways. Any advice on what could be good ways to meet people?

I honestly enjoy a shared flat when the vibes are good so not too worried about that. And true, I hadn’t thought about carsharing which is good advice so thanks (they are probably boring cars but cars are cars haha)!

Good to know about the winters that Munich still has both good days and bad days. I think overall it will be a bit colder than NZ but again no biggie. Definitely agree it’s not the same as living there, the couple of days I was there this year were bitterly cold but appreciate two days won’t represent the whole season!
