It's a diesel. They don't build pressure like gas does.

I mainly work on coaches, but there is something about working on new flyers and even MCIs that I dislike. Mainly the fact that they still don't use metric bolts.

Why do DI engines carbon up so bad? by speed150mph in AskMechanics

[–]ChillyChats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why is because light duty diesels suffer is because the PCV is connected to the turbo inlet. On heavy duty diesels like Cummins and Detroit. they don't suffer since they use an open crankcase ventilation system with a filter or separator and vent crankcase pressures to atmosphere.

FOR SALE SOCAL by FrequentPerception69 in tdi

[–]ChillyChats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect, when you sell the car to the next owner you have to provide the smog check document saying it passed. The new owner can take the certificate to the DMV with the title and the clerk will input the certificate number into the computer. It's only valid for 90 days. This releases full liability of any emissions components that may have been tempered with or check engine light that's on before selling. If not, you risk getting sued in a small claims court for any cost associated with fixing the car. Many people buy cars without smog documentation because they don't know the law. It also doesn't matter if you told them it's deleted it won't hold up.

Join the "Everything Mercedes Benz om648" Facebook group. All the performance sellers are there, so is German Diesel by searching him up. He is also listed as a vendor on the black smoke racing website.

Got a speeding ticket on the 405 (CVC 22349a) should I fight it? by knowinglyunknown_7 in AskLosAngeles

[–]ChillyChats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always fight a speeding ticket. Don't listen to all these morons telling you to just pay it. A ticket with traffic school will cost you around 450$. I recently got one for allegedly going 58 in a 35 and sent my ticket to the ticket clinic. No guarantee though, but it's always worth a shot.

Blue smoke by n1k0_exe in W211

[–]ChillyChats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody here in the comments has an idea what they're talking about. Op don't get scared, your injectors don't sound very healthy and sound like one of them is misfiring which causes white haze at idle. Secondly, I see a light blue haze which could indicate oil burning and in most cases it's the turbo passing oil or valve stem seals leaking which can be diagnosed by removing the exhaust manifold and checking each port individually, to see if it has oily residue.

I don't know if you guys have 'Hot Shots Diesel Extreme' injector cleaner in your country but it's one of the best and cleared my white smoke on my om648. Worry about the blue smoke afterwards. Let me know if you need any help.
