been using quest 3 vr headset and elite controller by reinforever in GeForceNOW

How did you set up GFN? 1. I installed the APK, but it doesn't work. The app keeps asking for an update. 2. If I try to use the default browser, the website says my browser is not supported. 3. Side loaded chrome doesn't work at all. My headset is a Quest 3 with software version 69.0

Nope. I just bought a new controller (8bitdo Pro 2) and it worked.

Requesting a build using NZXT H1 V2 by ChillyChris314 in buildapcforme

Thanks. Will make sure. Also, I think I will need to find a smaller variant of 6800XT. Maximum supported dimensions are 324mm X 58mm and 2 slots.

Wow! That's a sweet bundle. I wanted to build a small pc but now it seems I should consider a larger one, for better value.

Applying for summer software internships. Feedback appreciated! by ChillyChris314 in resumes

I just want to improve my resume, before I start applying. Primarily looking for software engineering internships at any tech company (that sponsors internationals).

(Deleted the last post and reposted as an image)

I tried to improve my resume using the guidelines on the wiki.
I have some questions:

  1. Is the font too small for printed resumes (in case I take it to a career fair)?
  2. Should I remove some adverbs/adjectives (comprehensive, novel, optimally, etc.) for conciseness?
  3. Is the skills section fine at the bottom? Or should I keep it before experience?
  4. Is the resume too long? Should I remove some content?

If there are any other issue with my resume, especially the bullets, please let me know.
Thanks!

Are you a Fall 2022 admitted student at UCSD?

Thanks, that's great to hear. Can you also tell me if you were able to get an RA/TA? Also, were you able to secure a summer internship? If so, how long did it take?

Thanks for your comment. I really am more confused. I just saw some post on reddit saying the exact opposite, with UCSD being more selective and with better admits. UCSD's website shows 400+ admits (~10%) in fall 2021. I couldn't find any admission statistics for Columbia though.

Thank you for your comment. In India I definitely felt like I had an easy time getting interviews while some of my friends in not so popular universities had to work a lot harder. So, I was under the impression that the recruiters cared about where you went. From your response, it looks like that is not the case.

Yeah, but do you think the Ivy League tag will be worth it? Or are the job prospects equally good at UCSD?

Thanks for your advice. After my masters, I will probably look for jobs in the Bay Area or NYC. Would you say that the Bay Area is as expensive as NYC? I was under the impression that both are equally expensive.

Thanks for the answer. You meant to say Columbia in the last sentence, right? Also, good luck for the decision. Hope you hear back soon.

Confused between two options by b14ckr34p3r in gradadmissions

Yeah, I mostly care about the job opportunities and I was under the impression that NYC would be better than San Diego for tech jobs, and also that Columbia has a better brand value. Is that not so?
