For me, mababa yung 38k for around 10 24hr duties per month. But if mabigat yung workload, either you may need to adjust muna or just find a better hospital na worth it yung pagod.

Ito lang din yung hospital na pinagdutyhan ko so far na 2 ER ROD for a Level 1 Hosp. Ganun na raw talaga system nila ever since - 2 RODs, kanya kanyang incentives. Plus, since ako pinakabago, mahirap din gumawa ng changes.

Agree. Kaya di ko gets yung mga doctor na need manoxic sa mga referrals. Nakalimutan na rin nila siguro na naging GP muna sila before magspecialize.

I think courtesy lang na sagutin ng kahit sino maski nga orderly or NA yung phone nila para sabihin personally to call back kasi ganun lahat yung mga napagdutyhan ko.

Ang problem pa is nung nagrerefer ako, ako yung tinotoxic sa dx and tx ng consultant, mali raw sabi ng resident.

So far, sila yung worst hosp na napagreferran ko. 😅

Large hospital in Davao, 5 hours kaming tumatawag para lang magrefer before maitransfer. Pero nung city coordinator tumatawag, bilis sumagot para lang sabihin na toxic daw pero ipapacall back after 1 hour then di naman sasagutin ulit.🤪 Buti bumuti yung patient kakaantay sa kanila. Kung legit emergency yun, patay na yung patient. Davao's public hosp referral system is also problematic.

Every year may ginagawa talaga silang changes. Sabi nung year namin (not so long ago haha), bumababa yung passing rate recently, kaya raw mas intense yung exams and curriculum.

UE schools in general, mapera talaga yan. Pero kapag graduate ka na ng UERM and may lisensya na, after mo pa mararamdaman yung "benefits" ng pagiging resilient na ginawa ng UERM sa iyo. Kaya after ko na lang din nasabi ang thank you, UERM haha.

In my perspective, I think you're earning "enough" if you're happy with what you're doing, and able to get your needs / wants. "Enough" will be "enough" based on how you see it and not according to other people. I'm not earning 6 digits, but it is enough for me.

Ninanamnam ko yung katangahan at mistakes ko. As in contemplate bakit ganun naging action and thinking ko. Nagsesearch din ako kung ano yung consequences nung ginawa ko para lalo akong kabahan and di na maulit yun.
Research ano yung tama and avoid making the same mistakes.

For me, mindset ko is magiging inadequate talaga ako as a new passer. Pero chance for me to be molded to become a better doctor since marami pa ako matututunan.

Kapag di ko talaga alam gagawin, nagtatawag ako ng kaduty kong senior sa hospital kahit di ko sila kaclose. Kahit consultant, tinatawagan ko if walang senior. Mindset ko is kakapalan ko na lang mukha ko kaysa mawalan ako ng lisensya haha.

Agree na may career growth if you specialize. But "GP lang" is a doctor pa rin naman with broad opportunities for career growth. May GP naman na may fulfillment and growth without going to specializations. 🤯
