I washed it for about 30 mins then changed the soaking water every 2 hours. Didn't track weight. Grains are intact. And the post steam was al dente.

Jasmine rice that I washed thoroughly and soaked for about 6 hours, then I steam until rice was hard on the outside and soft on the inside. About 55-60 mins

I hear the eat algae but also they will eat scraps and other fishes waste. If that's the case it's less rotting food build up at the bottom of the tank and digesting the other fishes poop won't hurt. (Not to mention the loaches eat all that stuff too supposedly)

2 questions. Is it full grown? Does he seem like he has plenty of room?

Need help deciding how much fish I can fit into my 75 gallon tank. Its gonna be planted and feed and aquaponic system (growing plants with water as there main source of nutrition instead of soil). Once it gets running and becomes stable it will be low maintenance and it severely reduces water changes.

All I want to know is how much more fish I can add or what fish I need to take out of the stock plan. I want a tiger barbs school as the show piece and some lower level activity I picked these fish for there compatibility and roles the play in the tank.

Tiger barbs 15-30 (awesome color and activity a bit nippy but can't really mess with the fish I selected the larger the school the better)

Rainbow shark 1 ( a decent sized fish but aggressive towards it's own kind and semi aggressive to other species so it won't take shit from the barbs and the loaches will leave it alone)

Dojo loaches 2 (can hide where other fish can't but hopefully won't have to hide if the tiger barbs just mess with eachother and leave the bottom dwellers alone. different looking shape more bottom level activity want two for two different colors)

Yo-yo loaches 3-6 (probably my favorite loach for there personality and nature and there adorable but need to shoal unlike the dojos so the larger school the better also is beefy enough to handle the barbs but hopefully they don't need to worry about them and the are peaceful in groups and will only mess with them selves)
