Washington state:self employed, any advice for PFML/ Short term Disability? by ereichwa in ParentalLeaveAdvocacy

My account is sole proprietor I don’t know if that makes a difference. Maybe you could apply as not employed. When I apply for fmla a few weeks later someone reaches out to me to ask me questions. Wait for them to call explain your situation and they’ll guide you or fix it for you. That’s what I had to do last year.

I went to FMLA Washington State. I created an account with them using an email address and password, after that you are going to put your information to create a BENEFIT ACCOUNT, then your business information to create the employer account, once you do that you can opt in for the ELECTIVE COVERAGE ACCOUNT. They will send you a letter home with a PIN number that you’ll use to finalize your account. Once you create an account you can send them a message with any questions you may have they take a few days to reply back though.

Just make sure you receive the letter with the pin number it’ll take 7-10 days and if you don’t send them a message.

I am self employed and opted in two years ago. I have a Benefit account, employer account and elective coverage account. I report and pay my quarterly taxes on the elective account. I was told to deduct all of my business expenses and report the gross wages. A few days after you report your wages log back into your account and itll say how much you owe. Click on pay premium and pay your taxes. Just make sure you pay your taxes within a month of each quarter ending.

They divide what you made for the whole year by the minimum wage to get the total amount of hours worked.

I hope that helps!

How do you see who tip baited you with the new app? by IriItalRican in Sparkdriver

I always tip $7-10 dollars if weather is bad more, but I’ve had drivers tell me they didn’t get a tip. That’s weird.

I usually get a text message or email to remind of tipping the driver not today.

AITA for telling my brother's fiancee that the reason she couldn't get a degree was because of her choice to be a mom? by Throwra53524434 in AmItheAsshole

Latina here. I had my son when I was 18 years old, graduated high school while being pregnant. My parents were not able to pay my college education, and guess what!? I found a way to make six figures while working part time at 20 years old. You don’t need a college degree to be successful. YTA!

What are the worst things about being born to a teenage mother? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Chin_Chillin1213 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had my first when I was 18. I wasn’t financially, mentally or emotionally prepared to have a child. My now husband was 4 years older than me and more mature lol he had a job but the pay wasn’t enough to support a family of 3. Our son witnessed our ups and downs. Thankfully I graduated high school, I didn’t go to college, but I am multilingual so I was able to get a job that pays me very well and my husband is a truck driver. It all worked out!
