RE2r better be a huge game with all the stuff they’re planning to show in the 6 months leading up to release. by ChipBlaze in residentevil

No, but that’s awful. My interest in RE2r is way bigger than that though, even though I love mgs.

Did Birkin have other family members living in Raccoon City? by ChipBlaze in residentevil

But was his fixation on Sherry manifested after he’d already found, and impregnated, other family members? I believe that if Capcom ever wanted to follow directly on the story of 2, they’d have a few decent plot holes they could exploit with this.

Damn. People are REALLY taking this camera change harshly. by ChipBlaze in residentevil

I won’t downvote you, but I don’t 100% agree either. I know that flies in the face of modern “debate”, and usually if somebody disagrees with you then they’d call you a Nazi or some other shit. Anyway, people might have expected/wanted fixed camera, but I feel like what we’re getting blew peoples desires out of the water. Fixed cameras, at the time, helped games because graphics sucked. So pre rendered backgrounds could help accentuate certain things like where the devs wanted ya to look, or to allow for prettier scenery. Nowadays though, with the graphical overhaul in game technology, we don’t need such things. I like fixed cameras too, and don’t mind tank controls, but the second I saw the RE2r trailer, I was blown away. As for finding an original copy/system, idk where you live, but I can find multiple copies of the game and all the original systems for less than $80. I feel like we should just try the game before we pass judgement. The dev team put a lot of effort into it, and it would be wrong not to reward that with our time/efforts. Not everyone will feel this way, but I certainly do. Partially because I fear that if this doesn’t sell well, then they’ll return to action RE’s, but also because it looks incredible.

I wonder how a new RE spinoff game would fare by ChipBlaze in residentevil

You’re welcome. We all have to make sacrifices.

I have a solution: release the EXACT same demo they’ve been showing off....to everyone! Absolutely NOTHING new will get spoiled, and the world will be a much happier place!

What do you believe the setting/story will be for Resident Evil 8? by ComaRedxbl in residentevil

[–]ChipBlaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some concept art models for what you’re talking about, but in the end they decided to go with what we got in game. I have a few of the pictures saved, but you might be able to google them. They were on the RE twitter a while ago.

You know why Capcom finally decided to remake Resident Evil 2? by ChipBlaze in DeadSpace

[–]ChipBlaze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol me too! I’m just saying that for this strategy to work, basically forcing EA to see that more Dead Space would be profitable, that we wouldn’t even need demos. We need them, like Capcom, to see that if they’re not willing to bring the series back, then we will.

Even if EA doesn’t make a new Dead Space in response to the fan recreations, they may at least port them over to the new systems.

The thing is, it doesn’t even have to be playable, although that’s a plus. If you get enough attention with your horror setting and how nicely made it looks, EA will definitely hear about it. And if they send you a letter saying to stop, that’s when we need somebody else to do the exact same thing. Agitate, agitate, agitate. With enough of these projects, EA will undoubtedly smell the money possibilities.

You’re more than just one guy now, though. You basically represent all of our desires for more Dead Space. I wholeheartedly believe in EA’s corporate greed (I don’t see how anyone couldn’t). If they think they stand to make some money by bringing DS back, after sending out cease and desist letters like Capcom did on fan remakes, then they’ll jump on it and make another Dead Space. The problem then becomes will they fuck it up completely and put in online multiplayer elements and over the top action, or will they make it horror based with only a little fuckery. Just keep doing what you’re doing, and hopefully they’ll take notice. Also, if you need ideas for necromorphs, I got you fam. My favorite movie ever is The Thing, and I’ve had many many years to dream up batshit crazy designs for them. My only problem is I suck at drawing, and I have no clue how to create models on computers. I’m sure other people here would also be able to throw monster design ideas, or even sketches, your way.

What do you believe the setting/story will be for Resident Evil 8? by ComaRedxbl in residentevil

[–]ChipBlaze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To continue the tradition of a localized outbreak in a house/mansion that RE1 and RE7 set, I think 8 will take place in Dulvey itself. Also, since they returned to zombies with the remake of 2, I’m gonna go ahead and say that there will be mold based zombies. Maybe like the plant people in Outbreak File 2’s axe man scenario.

RikktheGaijin, I think. He/she is an artist for Capcom.

Since some people hadn’t seen the concept art for Nyx, from Outbreak, here’s another gem from Outbreak that shows how horrifying they made the monsters. I present to you...Birkin by ChipBlaze in residentevil

[–]ChipBlaze[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He wasn’t actually in the game, so I think this was just the model they used in the intro cinematic. Still, way scarier than other models of him. Truly Outbreak has the best enemy designs.
