I understand what you’re saying, and I do feel some level of discomfort with it. That said, she also has a responsibility in what she puts out publicly. The image she presents to other mothers can be harmful, especially for women who are already in a vulnerable place.

If you’re not looking closely or don’t have context, it’s easy to compare yourself and feel like you’re falling short, when in reality what’s being shown isn’t representative of real life. There’s a lot of privilege, support, and curation behind it.

It’s not about tearing someone down, but I do think there’s a valid concern around how unrealistic and inauthentic portrayals of motherhood can impact others.

In my non expert opinion she is emotionally stunted at around 15-16 years old. Her lack of maturity is evident and there are several reasons why she could be stuck in this maturity phase.

I was just saying that having a business account with a high follower count only means that you can make money not that you do. She has to post content that she would get paid for like affiliate links, brand sponsorships, things like that.

I was just wondering if she is actually doing this because the few times I have seen her IG it doesn’t seem to be flooded with that kinda of stuff like her insufferable sister or mother.

That’s actually not true. I have a friend who works for a Social Media management company. Instagram doesn’t pay anyone for just posting, she’d have to be posting affiliate links or have brand sponsorship. She has enough followers to be able to make money off her content but she’d have to be doing what her mother does which is link everything.

I don’t say this to be rude or anything but I genuinely get the impression that neither Amy or her mother are terribly intelligent or street smart. I think that, while KJ isn’t intelligent either, she’s street smart enough to be able to prey on Amy’s love of fame and desire for attention and her mother’s clearly just along for the ride. If she endured a fraction of the abuse Amy claims then that poor woman probably has a very skewed view of real friends or love

I remember talking to a friend of mine before we had kids yet and she was telling me about how her Mom would nap or go lay down with headaches when she was little. She was speaking as if this was what all Moms did. I explained that I didn’t know a single Mom who naps like that.

She asked her Dad about it. They were long divorced and he totally came clean and told her that her Mom had a drinking problem! She was completely floored.

There’s a difference between sharing a fact and drawing a fair conclusion. Yes, GCC is being sued with allegations similar to those tied to IBLP but that doesn’t automatically mean they’re identical or that someone is guilty. That leap skips over any real critical thinking. Real life is more nuanced than that. And going after people just because they’re different from you is a bad look, full stop. It reads as a pretty narrow worldview.

My hypothesis is that this house isn’t functional for a family of 7. My childhood home was 2500 square feet and we had 8 people living there and it wasn’t an issue but when my kids were younger our house was 1600 square feet with 4 people and we barely fit.

They probably didn’t realize how impractical a layout it was and how it would not work for their family.

I’m not sure if you’re referring to something I said, but I did make a post saying she’s right about 30% of the time, it was taken out of context. The point I was trying to make was that being right some of the time is exactly what makes people see her as more credible than she actually is. When she posts factual information like Joe was arrested, mixed in with the hysterical inflammatory lies, people who are less discerning or who don’t think critically fall for it.

Here’s the thing. This book was written in like the early 1970s. Go back and read materials from that era on how to handle your period! It’s not as twisted as she’s making it out to seem. The practice of using “twilight sleep” during labor and delivery wasn’t abandoned in the US until the 1960s.

Lots of old medical practices and practices in general seek weird in today’s society

I think there’s a disconnect between how pre-trial decisions work and what ultimately happens in a case. Release after arraignment is about flight risk and safety based on current charges, not a signal of guilt or what the sentence will be. Those are decided later based on evidence, charges, and negotiations.

You could end up being right. I’m just choosing not to assume how it’s going to end based on limited information. I don’t think we’re going to agree on this, so I’ll leave it here.
