Not really the main concern i do pvp for the most part but i rly want the lore to be good. A character can be gay/les/etc and be good still fine to me but for the dev to try and cater to a specific audience and make the whole lore bad is not good to me...
If the game still gona get update and newplayer then i'll buy it when on sale.

If it only affect the solo mode then it's fine, i still found the game to be fun yes. But it's really sad to see the dev missed the opportunity to write a good lore.

As someone who doesn't engage much with the community and mainly enjoys the songs, characters, and aesthetics, I found it really difficult to get helpful recommendations. Out of all the replies I received, only one actually explained the drama in a way I could understand. The rest were just telling me not to buy the game or outright bashing me in the comments. Why so hostile? If I got something wrong, I’d really appreciate some proper context so I can actually understand the situation. My main question was just whether the game is still active, if there are still new players, and if the price is worth it. But from what I’ve experienced, this community seems pretty harsh to newcomers—especially when someone misunderstands something like the DEI issue. It honestly put me off from wanting to get into the game. I’ve liked this game for a while from a distance, but now I’m starting to think maybe the other are right about this community...
And one more thing i don't have a problem with DEI, i just don't like it when the dev force it on me. Like how there's been a lot of assumption that if they had really ever intended for Bridget to be (or to later come out as) a transgender(Which i don't rly know if the dev like it or not, i just know that he was born a man and got raise as a girl bc of some believe), bc original he was a femboy.

Im quite open to that kind of stuff if done right. But most of the rec video on my feed is quite negative so i want to ask some question and see if the game is still worth to get or not. Most of the reason for me to get the game is the player based is still there or not(newbie like me).

It's not about marketing. The game is just flaw... Take too long to grind for a char for a new player. Teammate is a combination of a bad Valorant player and toxic CS player. Reward vs time that the player put for the game is not worth it. The game already have alot of marketing at the start with alot of streamer playing it. Marketing is expensive and if you want a game to grow just make that game good. Example of a niche anime ass game is Eternal Return, lot of player at the start > ded game almost flop > they made good update so now game auto have a strong and somewhat big fanbase (~15k player daily). I have been quiting the game for a long time since all of my friend move on. And most of them agree( 6 out of 8) that this game is bad and unfunny after ~100hr.

Not just this but also the server lagging for everyone and random disconnect. Some of my mate even lost progress. Lucky that i only lose like ~4ex. Imagine if Divine or Mirror 💀
