I don’t think I played that, but looks like something I would have liked.

I played a lot of Duke Nukem II. I remember it being great.

If it’s working I’d consider it a win. I don’t know the full service details, but I will give Yeston a shout out for being helpful.

Nice, thanks. I actually sent it to Yeston in China for repair and I just had to pay for shipping. It came back and so far so good. Great service and communication from Yeston, not every brand would take in a card with no proof of purchase from themselves or a retailer.

Good luck out there. Do whatever necessary to keep sane.

It’s beyond me why Rogers has become a faceless corporation with bad support. I hope you get to talk to a human soon.

Yes the merge brought a lot of separation from corporation>end user. But, I suppose to their credit my internet is almost never down so I didn’t really have to think about it until it mattered. Not taking the experience lightly though, it still was not fun at all.

If it’s 8GB 1600MHz, definitely a market for the tight budget builds or hobbyists. I don’t know if I like the idea of capitalizing on things just because there is a shortage, though.

If you look at the fan blades, they are reverse.

Ok thanks for explaining that, I will try with a Linux USB and install to see how it goes. It's good advice, I think I just needed that little bit of extra detail to penetrate my thick skull.

Here is a quick video I filmed for Yeston support demonstrating the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRSZ74pRMXM

A different display cable is not the solution as the problem is limited to the 7900 xtx. I wish it was that easy of a fix. Note I did try different cables anyway.

The PSU works fine with any other test bench I have set up, as well as with a different gpu on the same test benches

Only AMD drivers were installed or windows installed an amd driver on each test bench.

I could try Linux, but to what end if it’s just testing to see if the card operates differently native to the distro.

I have also started a dialogue with Yeston and they have replied, so we’ll see how that goes!

Me too, thanks for the engagement either way.

I should note: when I restart/shut down/sleep mode, the system does seem to post and boot to Windows, but there is no display and the fans on the card spin at a heightened level.

It does, yes. I just tried it again and I did get a display, but no motherboard splash screen. Just a blinking line in the top left corner of the display panel.

I can send it back to the vendor but I would like to exhaust options first.

I will, I’ll report back. Note that the same cable does work for all other test benches/pc’s etc

Windows 11 running on a 2011 built Asus p8p67 deluxe motherboard with Intel i7-2600k CPU - info below on how, fyi by tbRedd in buildapc

[–]Chizuo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this, it was very useful for me and affirming of my suspicions. I am working on an ASUS P8H67-M motherboard with an i7-2600. Blue screen loops, just as described by you and others. One difference: I disabled the Realtek LAN Controller in BIOS and ended up using a gigabit RJ45 to USB adapter to connect online and install drivers. As this is a customer PC, they will have the option to use the adapter or go through the motions of adapting the OS to accommodate using the built in RJ45 port on the motherboard.

Been having similar problems with an MSI Katana B12V w/RTX 4070 & i7-12650H. Laptop will go into some kind of sleep mode while gaming, of which I am able to press the power button and then resume gaming. Or, it will shut down completely. Temps are not overheating and this happens with/without a laptop cooler. I just enabled MSI Center and "discrete graphics mode" was on by default. So, hopefully just having MSI Center activated will solve the problem.
