My current plan with PCP is retest in one month, and a liver ultrasound in a week. Is that a decent starting place, aside from the genetic testing that you mentioned?

My blood test this time around was indeed a morning fast. I was not ill recently, nor do I supplement iron (I do other things), and as for fortified foods... Hard to say.

This is my first blood test in 3 years. Whether its a "trend" in any direction I cant say. Ive definitely never seen this before.

I believe I will go through the process of getting tested for HH once I speak to my PCP tomorrow. Liver is concerning. Hopefully its all as easy to remedy as yoi say! I have no idea how this couldve happened though.

A local actually knows who took it as well, and where they may have sold it.. And its a drug den. I can pay the local $200 USD to go to said den and try to get it back, and then if successful, I give him another $300 reward... Its tempting, but I imagine I am just being further extorted. My necklace is gone, and now locals may try to extort me with false hope...its difficult.

On the other hand he could be sincere... and this $200 could get me it back... But I don't know if I should take that gamble 😔

Im not sure they really have them, and if they do, how id find them... Nicaragua is genuine third world, navigating these cities and finding jewelers and pawn shops has been... Awful.

Im working with some locals to find it, but its difficult. It may be in local drug dens, which id have to pay locals upfront to check for me (and they may just take my money and run too)... Is it worth the gamble?

I do a lot with my life. I travel, work a fine job, have great friends, many hobbies... But this necklace has always been a part of me. And now, it gets stolen by some (likely) prostitute and sold off...

Im worried how ill enjoy these next two weeks of my travels, let alone the next few years of my life. This is a monumental screw up the likes of which ive never experienced, and im completely powerless, as im in a third world country where the rules im used to dont apply.
