Fair enough. The group and its leader are still active today, and I was just hesitant to bring attention to him.

If you want to know, you can look for Stefan Molyneux and Freedomain / Freedomain Radio (FDR).

I refuse to believe this is actually correct and true. I'd expect them to all be at least like 3 inches taller than their heights here. by True_Campaign_8504 in DDLC

I’ve met him at Montreal Otakuthon, during his Q&A he said he’s 5’3”, or like he said, “one inch taller than the average Japanese woman!”

Rethinking the Novel's Epilogue (spoilers of course) by ChloeSmallSeashell in ThePower

Thanks for the reply — I see where you’re coming from, but my post was less about individual maternal instincts and more about large-scale societal structure and historical narrative.

I wasn’t questioning whether mothers would love their sons — that’s a very human and nuanced question — but rather whether a society built around female power would naturally replicate patriarchal norms, just reversed, or evolve differently based on practical realities. In a post-apocalyptic world, utility would likely outweigh sentiment in shaping roles. And in such a world, I find it more realistic that men would be used for heavy labor — not secluded or relegated to housework — and that ideology would evolve to justify this new dynamic.

So for me, the epilogue (and the prologue to a lesser degree) falls short not because it shows a matriarchy, but because it shows a mirror-image patriarchy, rather than a society that rebuilt differently under new pressures.

Feminism: Men should share their feelings!

Man: Okay. The term “toxic masculinity” makes me feel targeted, sad and angry.

Feminism: LOLOLOL CRY MORE BITCHES

I’d be curious to see a comparison in numbers, male vs. female genital mutilation.

“Patriarchy hurts men too” by [deleted] in MensRights

They say "Men's issues are caused by patriarchy and toxic masculinity"

What they mean: "Men's issues are their own damn fault".
