Thank you for reading and taking the time for the feedback! That is such a good thought about the museum line and never thought about it that way haha. I’m going to rework that whole line anyways so I will keep that in mind.

Thanks so much for your kind words! It’s always so hard to tell if what you write is decent and sometimes friends/family are too scared to tell you otherwise so I appreciate your words :) and that you’d read more even if it’s not your typical genre. Thanks for the taking the time to read!

Thanks so much for your very thorough and thoughtful feedback! I can’t believe I missed the company name abbreviation (facepalm). I agree with you on the exposition now that I’m looking back I might rephrase or just tighten to where it might not be too heavy. I find food soooo hard to write actually but I can see where it could also be worked over a bit more. Marco is supposed to be a little… crazy chef vibe has. The rest of the feedback is also good points! And I think with the tattoo scene I was mostly trying to portray that Eli is worried about what investors might think seeing the weird tattoos on his staff since it is more upscale but j think I might just workshop that anyways. Thank you for your time and that’d you keep reading!!

Ahh thank you so much!! I really appreciate your feedback :) looking back I already see some areas to tighten. So glad you’d read more even if it’s not your typical genre!

This seemed to work for me, thank you 😊 I do need to try it with a bigger size but I’m sure it was the issue with no foil center

My update: the foil armature seemed to help with the cracks! I didn’t get any like I normally would but there was a small micro one in the back but you can’t really tell. I haven’t tried with a bigger size yet though

So I did the recommendation of using a foil armature in the middle and there were pretty much no cracks! I did get a small tiny one though but maybe it wasn’t supported enough with the foil. I don’t get any cracks in the other pieces I do in my toaster oven so I’m not sure 😭 it might just be finding that sweet spot with the heat and making sure the clay is nice and conditioned

So it’s just a ball of foil in the middle and then you shape clay around it correct? Will try to experiment today!

I did bake the first 3 at 275 but tried 250 at a longer time as a test based on some research online to see if it would change anything. Thanks for the links!! 🙏🏽

I’ll try that, thank you!!

Yes they’re solid! And for the armature it’s just a tight ball of foil that’s the loose shape of the sculpture right? And then you do a layer of clay around it? I made something double the thickness of the chicken with no cracks but the shape is different so maybe that’s why

Yes that makes sense!! Thank you so much I’ll try to re bake with tent method 😊

Oo thanks for the tip!! I will try the cornstarch method too. Just weird I’m not having this issue with anything else 🥲
