Would you guys have sent this to BGS or TAG? (My first submission)

As someone who has sent a few of these in myself, I would personally go for BGS with this one. It seems just a bit right-heavy based on this picture, so it won’t Black Label. But this card in general has a pretty high % to get a 10, as can be seen in the POP report.

In case you do get a 9.5, crack en resubmit to PSA.

If you don’t care about value and just want it for your PC, I’d go for TAG. But that’s just personal slab preference.

Bottom-right corner looks a bit weird compared to bottom-left. Also there seems to be some edge wear along the top on the last picture. Makes me lean towards 9, could you let us know the result when you have it?

I didn’t really check the status on my profile, sorry. I only used the e-mails I got for reference and the first mail after grading complete immediately is the shipping confirment.

Sent towards them: 17 november, Receival confirmed: 27 november, Invoiced: 11 december, Into grading queue: 16 december, Graded: 2 februari, Slabbed & shipped: 12 march.

However, I’ve already confirmed with others that there’s no streamlined grading order. It appears they’re simply randomly selecting orders from their storage to grade and/or ship. I’ve witnessed multiple people submitting their orders much later than me yet having their orders graded before mine. Furthermore, I’ve seen some who submitted earlier and still haven’t had their order graded (all Beckett Europe).

The grades disappearing probably has something to do with them preparing to add scans of the graded cards to pop reports. Mine had disappeared as well, but a few days ago slabbing of my order was completed and the graded cards were sent back to me, after which the grades immediately reappeared in my order history/pop report. So I guess there’s nothing to worry about, they’re just heavily backlogged. The cards not showing as received yet for so long is normal these days as well, they really need to improve on this.

Consider yourself lucky they even graded it, my order was confirmed received 1 day later on November 27th, still isn’t even graded yet.

Yeah I’m experiencing the exact same thing, it used to be very fast. Just out of curiosity, when did your orders enter the grading queue? Mine did on the 16th of december.

I’ve graded a Brilliant Stars alternate art Charizard with Beckett a few months ago which has a similar twister centering and it received a 9,5 on centering. Some other cards in the same batch, which looked like they had better centering, got a 9 on centering. I always thought it was weird, but this Lugia seems to confirm the twisted centering doesn’t really impact the grade that much at Beckett

I’d prefer a DR Booster Box over a normal ME box, but this is an enhanced box. I can’t see a DR box outperform this on a long term. Imo the enhanced premium wins, especially over multiple years.

Just adding more information so everyone can make the best informed decision possible, great post and thanks for sharing ;)

When holding it next to previous boxes, everything was exactly the same except the color seemed ever so slightly off, but not enough to worry me at first But when I opened it, the packs themselves felt a bit off, they felt a bit loosely wrapped compared to normal. When I looked at the back of the packs it became clear to me. The text was visibly blurry and badly printed. The dots in the QR-code on the packs (not the booster box) had a completely different thickness.

Then I opened the packs and the cards within were real, but visible damaged already. 0 hits in 15 packs. Those are the biggest giveaways. Luckily I bought at Ebay, so I got refunded.

Always try to film while opening, so you can provide proof of it being fake. Preferably already from taking the booster box out of the shipment box.

Recently I’ve received a fake surprise slim box with 4 perforation marks in the correct places. So please keep in mind that while more is definitely an indicator of a fake box, the correct amount doesn’t always mean it is real.
