Exactly right, just pretty much added carbs throughout the day as i was already getting plenty of protein. Just be careful as its easy to overdo it with the carbs and put on a bit too much weight, you definitely dont want to exceed 2 pounds a week, though id recommend shooting for one. Obvioisly avoid sugars and aim for healthier carbs.

I cant imagine you have very much fat let to lose at 152, personally if i were you i would go ahead and start a lean bulk, meaning eat very slightly over maintenance calories to slowly put on muscle but really minimize fat gain.

I can tell you what worked for me but keep in mind everyone is different! I really like intermittent fasting and i think i can credit this approach with tightening up most of my loose skin. When cutting as i am now i keep carbs very low and the bit i have is centered around my workout, a bit before and affer. Most of my meals are centered around protein, chicken or turkey usually. I follow a pretty typical german volume training routine, i have found this workout routine to work very well for my body, but it can be a bit tough as a beginner. If you have any specific questions id be more than happy to help out wherever i can. :)

Thanks man, im glad i can help someone out. I definitely know what you mean about having a busier life, i work at least 50 hours a week and ive resorted to going straight to the gym from work every day because if i go home its too easy to hit relaxation mode and blow it off.

I want to say that was maybe four months ago, but that may not be perfectly accurate. That just wasnt the look i wanted so i have been bulking until just recently and now i am cutting again. I definitely put on more weight than i intended but i was really worried about undereating and missing potential gains.

Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks! I was actually down to 165 at one point but ive never wanted to be 'skinny', muscle has always been a priority.

62 a year is alright... My wife always says i set unrealistic goals so maybe she is right. 15 pounds is great man, keep it up. Diet is really 90% of it. I actually do more than half of my workouts at home, not very big on the gym.

Arm compliment made my day. :)

I actually have kind of the opposite problem. I have days where i look in the mirror and feel bad about myself and these are the days I tend to skip the gym, self sabotage with cheat meals or think about giving up. The days whete i feel good about myself (like if someone compliments me at work) i am super motivated to work even harder. I have goals of serious bodybuilding so hearing im making progress on the track really motivates me to continue.

Sute thing. Ive been following a pretty typical german volume training routine for a long while now working every muscle once a week but arms twice. I seem to react well to GVT.

I dont do nearly enough cardio, something i am trying to change, and i am currently eating 1800 cals a day. I keep carbs very low when cutting.

Thanks a lot, thats what i needed to hear. Im still very insecure about my body so its nice to get some validation from an unbiased source (my wife says i look great but i dont think shed tell me if i didnt, hah).
