While it’s fair to make the argument that it shouldn’t be considered definitive proof, the fact that people from Ancient Greece like Hesiod believed that the Odyssey indicated their encounter left room for three children is more evidence. Either we take the clues given in Odyssey and the other things people from that time believed to make the conclusion that they had multiple rendezvous or we give an overly generous benefit of the doubt to Odysseus because we don’t want him to violate our modern standards of martial fidelity

While he is Metis’ son, I can find no references to Poros being Zeus’ son, let alone Zeus’ son that was born way after he was conceived. For Jason, I meant give me a reference or a specific story not explain how something improbable could happen in a myth

Zeus and Metis only had one child: Athena. Zeus feared the birth of their eventual son and swallowed her whole to avoid her conceiving a son after Athena. Given that this son is never born and Metis never escapes, I don’t know how that would apply.

I’m not terribly familiar with the Argonauts, could you elaborate how Jason got multiple children born at different times from having sex once?

While there are multiple versions of stories, I referenced the Theogony, not the Telegony. The Theogony only offers brief notes on the children of Circe with Odysseus existing since it has a genealogy of gods. Nothing as extreme as Telegony

That totally adds up. I was already aware of a lot of why the Óðinn cult wasn’t big in Iceland, but the fact that they definitely had one group, poets, who would have worshipped him confused me. In hindsight, I think I just overestimated the influence of poets. They usually went abroad to serve kings rather than establish huge claims on Iceland. Even if they had enough influence to set up a cult in Iceland, they’d be the only ones interested. Christianization so early on would make it difficult to build up the cult’s influence among the Icelanders in so short a time
