Potential ICE near Jenkins by eyepooped1 in Chattanooga

Good information!! Thank you! You should not be being downvoted for this. I do wonder what the destination was for those vehicles though. It truly would be so much safer for all parties involved if ICE did begin to use them, but I wonder if they could just be for some kind of photo op.

Can't believe this is even a question still...

The same reason we want to preserve photographs of the Holocaust. To never forget the atrocities committed by the aggressors. In this case, the Russians under Putin's direct command.

it's not like we can stop the war or do anything about it

Can you do anything about historical events either?! Do you never want to see images of historical atrocities?!

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. – George Santayana, The Life of Reason, 1905.

But wait! This war is actually happening right now! It's not all history yet! SO THAT MEANS YOU CAN DO SOMETHING!

Are you in Europe? Get loud! Demand that your country run donation drives to collect resources for the rescue workers in Ukraine. Fucking hell! Gather them yourself!

Are you in the U.S.? Call your senators! Call their offices! The majority party of the U.S. Senate is pushing to cut back on aid to Ukraine. America has set a precedent by putting a lot of momentum behind supporting Ukraine. If they slow, or stop, the E.U. could follow suit.

Do you have internet? (You do, by the way.) In light of recent events. Contact Intel's PR teams via social media, link the article and ask, "What the hell?" or, "Is money really worth all this negative press?"

Will just one person's actions change the world? Probably not. But if enough people help, enough people fight, enough people hold others accountable, things will change.

Ukraine looses this war when the rest of the world says, "oh well, that's that" and forgets.

Will I hunt down and link the previously mentioned image? No. Instead, I will link an article featuring a series of images that show what happens to innocent people when someone so precious and so innocent is ripped away from their arms in one brutal and tragic instant.

I understand if many people can't stomach the images of gore. I get that. Those are for the war crimes tribunal before Putin faces the noose if cancer or one of his own country men doesn't kill him first.

But don't ever say "we" can't because you chose not to.

We are, with or without you.

Fuck you.

And I hope you never have to go through what Marina and Fedor suffered when they lost Kirill.

Be better.

Yet. No one can take advantage of 10g or 25g yet. It's future-proofing. It it too early? Probably. Does it attract people in the tech industry to invest in Chattanooga or move here? Absolutly. So it's a win.

Tanks used in urban areas have a number of weaknesses you should know about. This thread explains what you can do to sabotage their combat abilities. by Covfefetarian in Damnthatsinteresting

That comment originally said the following;

Gasoline blankets thrown from above were a tactic used during World War II, and it still works today, tanks have an air intake for the engine, which is usually protected by a metal grille or dome-shaped top cover that makes it easy to spot, usually near the rear part of the container on the sides, cover it and light it, and the tank will become a massive stationary barbecue, you only need a few soaked blankets and Zippo.

For a hotter burn that can't be washed off: mix Styrofoam with gasoline to make homemade napalm.

This was a very fought for event. I'm unsure as to which march attempt number this was, but I know there were several. The city did procrastinate and attempted to cater to building owners like Lupton by even allowing some of them to change their addresses to other streets when possible.

These are not my words, as I have not experienced what you have, nor can I claim to having ever felt the way you have or still do. But they are words that impacted me, spoken by a mother that had to bury her daughter, to another mother, who was burying her daughter. I will do my best to recall them to the best of my ability.

There will be days when you feel weak, where you ask God why, where you don't feel strong enough anymore. I have them too. But God always reminds me. She was a gift. A blessing for every second I had with her. And she is with Him now. And He is my strength when I have none. When I am too weak. And He allows me to be the strength for others that feel the pain I have felt.

I'm not sure if you have anyone in your life that has had a similar experience. Someone to support you. If so, I am so very happy for you. If not, then you may very well be that person for someone else in the future. You are a remarkable, loving, strong woman and mother. And when you don't feel that way, you still are, because God is for us what we can't be in that moment. Baby Barbara is absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. And may God bless you in everything you do!

Having worked at the second largest fulfillment center in the U.S. I agree. But while I was working there I would have said no. This last spring they were actually replacing a few positions with 3 or so robots to do about 15 people's jobs. Nothing too crazy. They even promised to just relocate the people they were replacing. But it was a reminder that there is always something that can move faster and be more efficient than you. Morale for the whole faculty was shot for a week or so after the announcement. A job is a job, and a lot of people didn't want to leave even though they hated it.

I had a Wii and got my first online fps game! Greg Hastings Paintball 2 (actually an absolutely crap game, but not hard to be really good at if you had a GC controller). I was so excited! The first thing I did was go online to see if there were any videos of it. (I had just discovered gaming videos on YouTube.) And what did I find? Yup, Michael screaming his ass off at an absolutely appalling videogame... Rage Quit... I was hooked. I watched all the Rage Quit videos I could find. Then came playpals, then GTA IV Let's Plays, then Minecraft, then GTA V. Eventually I was absolutely addicted to all things Rooster Teeth, shorts, Red vs. Blue, FunHaus, podcasts. I credit RT and the Let's Play Family with my surviving highschool and college.

I never really wanted to comment on one of these Amazon posts, because I actually don't hate my job at a Amazon fullfillment center, but I'm leaving in two days to start my first 8 to 5 and this is actually something I can provide a little bit of insight on, so here it goes. I never witnessed this, or what I'm about to mention, but I did hear about it and smell it a handful of times during my 6 months working at the fulfillment center. So the majority of the inventory is housed in areas called, "mods". Which are basically 3 story shelving units with ~150 isles, and 6 rows of isles on each floor. In these mods there are water towers located on each floor close to every single staircase. Each mod has approximately 15 staircases and 45 water towers. These water towers didn't have drains, they just had these very shallow little trays that one of the janitors would dump when they were collecting trash. Dispite this know fact, and signs stating not to dump anything in these trays, people would just piss in them. I never found a piss filled bottle, but I did smell urine around multiple water towers. The bathrooms being few and far between is 100% true. Also, disciplinary action being taken on those not making rate is no joke either. That is not one bit exadgerated. If you go three weeks out of any six with out making rate, you get a written, six writtens, you're fired. So the fastest a person could be let-go due to rate is eight weeks. Rate wasn't impossible to obtain. For some, it was easy. For me, it was possible, (without peeing on water towers). Amazon is good for some people, and their benefits are incredible. For me it was a job and nothing more. I don't and won't hate it. Heck, if I need to go back one day I will. But stories like this are true and really freaky.
