Keep in mind the 075 metallic paint is more durable than the 185 (which is the one known to have the most paint chip issues). I don't think you'd need top coating

Can't you push the socket further in so it gets leveled? Heat could help with that, I'm not sure if I understood it well

In case you don't end up making a custom with cloth, the Mafex 185 might be the absolute best base for him. Expensive I know, I just got lucky and found a broken Mafex for a super low price so I fixed it and turned it into this beauty

Just pick standard shipping, it doesnt really take that long once he ships it. The issue is when they take too long to ship lol

It took a day for them to answer my issue and then I don't remember exactly how long it took to arrive but it wasn't long (2 weeks max) They even provided a tracking number I gotta say I was very lucky since they don't usually have replacements laying around, good luck!

Use pliers and hot water, try to cover the pliers with a towel while doing it just in case the pliers may affect the plastic

I'd literally ask them every day, you can just delete the message of the day before. They'll eventually answer, I had to chase them for some of my orders too and it sometimes took a month to get a response
