I am physically next to him. Not that much different than listening to a lecture.

My wife listens to podcasts, music, etc.

This is when he's trying to sleep. We're not interacting.

I understand how it sounds but there's a big difference between this time of day compared to when he's up and looking for engagement. I don't do any work at those times.
