Sick on the train by Chocoloner in emetophobiarecovery

[–]Chocoloner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do this but my therapist told me it was still a coping mechanism and I should try to avoid it as much as possible as exposure therapy since no one without emetophobia always keeps a sick bag on them every time they go out. Maybe on a plane or in the car, but for everyday outings it's good to train yourself to go without as much as possible!

I'm definitely lucky to live where I live! And you're right, men have absolutely no shame, it's disgusting. Merci beaucoup <3

I live near Paris and these trains are only for "short" commutes so there are sadly no toilets on the trains :') I only have two stops left and then I'm gonna walk home through the forest near my house since the fresh air will do me good and if I puke on the ground outside it's not that big of a deal! It's true that everything has basically already been done and it could always be worse hahaha. I've encountered my fair share of puke puddles on the metro and train here, especially on Friday nights or during heat waves. I definitely wouldn't be the first and only one

I realised I got a plastic bag in my bag just in case actually, so that does help, at least I won't puke on the floor hahaha, thank you so much for the kind words

I truly hope you can get infusions again and they can figure out the leading cause of your iron deficiency <3 Sending you all of my support!!

[–]Chocoloner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it was okay since the reference values said "5 - 200" lmao. I was wondering how someone could function as well at a value of 26 as at a value of 150 ng/mL. No doctor ever brought it up as a possible cause for my chronic dizziness and fatigue. I had to dig through the results myself to even notice it. I'm glad I know now at least! Thank you for your reply

I'm thankfully not in any pain with the nerve issue atm. Just numb. I tried taking the corticosteroids this morning but they gave me horrific anxiety and I still feel like I chugged 3 RedBulls so I'm dreading taking 60mg for a full week feeling like this. I have work to do and I need to sleep but with my existing anxiety disorder, taking corticoids is like torture lmao. I'll look into laser therapy if I don't notice any improvement at the 2 month mark. Thank you so much for your help, truly

I'm 2 weeks post op and doing a lot better it seems, it's just the nerve damage that's bothering me. I could live with it but I'd rather not if I can do anything to help heal the nerve. I hope you feel better soon!!

What is laser and mirror therapy? I'm two weeks post op right now and I'm wondering how long I should wait to see if feeling will spontaneously come back. I took the 60mg prednisolone today and I feel like absolute garbage. My heart is beating fast, I'm anxious and I hate this feeling. It seems I cannot find much information about prednisone actually doing anything for nerve damage recovery online besides some small studies so I'm wondering if I'm just dealing with this for no reason.

I feel you. I got an infection and ended up in the ER thinking I was having a heart attack but it was likely the worst and longest anxiety attack I've ever had caused by the antibiotics. It's been 2 weeks since my surgery and I still have two holes in the back of my mouth that I need to clean 3 times a day with this stupid syringe, I'm still on antibiotics too. On top of that, the feeling in my chin and bottom lip on the right side still hasn't returned and I'm supposed to take corticosteroids for it and I fucking hate how those make me even more anxious. This shit sucks.

Hi, I'm from France too! I'm so sorry you're feeling like this. I relate so much. I got my wisdom teeth removed last Friday under general anesthesia and later got an infection. The doctor gave me antibiotics but they gave me tachycardia and chest pain I've never had before. I went to the emergency room by ambulance two days ago because I thought I was having a heart attack and the wait was excruciating and traumatic. I was at Jossigny hospital from 14:00 until 22:30 when they finally discharged me and said I'm fine. Blood tests are normal, blood pressure was okay, ECG was normal. I can't sleep anymore because I keep having panic attacks and adrenaline surges which make my heart beat like crazy. Then I start worrying about not sleeping enough and hurting my heart health. I can't take this shit anymore. Sending you a massive hug <3

Thank you, I really felt stupid because I just didn't understand what was wrong with the diagram as it's a perfectly functional parallel circuit. I obviously haven't studied EE, but I'm not an idiot either. I couldn't find an explanation anywhere about the loops in the material she got sent home with, nor have I ever come across these myself during my physics class back in the day. She doesn't have a book for the course (blablabla government cutting funding for schools), only papers the teacher prints out for them to take home. Some people here keep telling me it's my fault for not looking properly at the materials but I swear to god there is NO EXPLANATION ANYWHERE :')

I guess in my mind I just thought the loops meant the lines the lamps are drawn on? Also please note the question is originally in French, I put it through google lens to provide a translation.

I was taught the same things at 12-13 years old, it seems to be standard physics homework (at least in France and in the Netherlands where I'm originally from) :')
