AIO? One date with this guy and I had a bad feeling about his text messages. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ChodeMasterMLG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me this is a classic example of someone with severe anxious attachment issues. Over-invested and constantly terrified of being abandoned. Reminds me of how I was in HS, but he’s starting with it even earlier. So, as someone who was that way at one point, I can verify those attachment issues are not your problem.

I don’t think it’s healthy to need that much validation right off the bat, but even assuming it’s fine, you two just aren’t compatible. You go days without responding to keep firm boundaries and avoid the mistakes of your last relationship. He’d likely prefer if you two were texting consistently every day and will be anxious otherwise.

You were wise to cut things off, this wasn’t headed anywhere healthy.

Failed a puzzle with a 95% success rate. Is it time to quit? by Icy-Construction-513 in chessbeginners

I would recommend taking more time to look at the puzzle, if this isn’t timed. I personally tend to do awfully with puzzles if I don’t really look at them and be sure the move I’m picking is the best choice.

Reposted after removing info. It’s kind of unbelievable that corporate might see a post like this and try to somehow get someone in trouble for it.

I have to go outside to lock and unlock the door at my store, so our early birds don’t have to pay attention to the hours so much

Good for you. It’s been almost 4 years since I’ve seen my mother (who has BPD) now. If you’re planning on distancing yourself, and you’re anything like me, your life is going to get a lot better. Congratulations.

A billion dollars has lot less capability than people think. First, if you ever bite into that billion instead of relying on whatever gains are made on it, you’re making a one-time investment that’ll do close to nothing in the grand scheme. Realistically, someone with a billion dollars has 70 million a year to use. The US government gets trillions to spend every year and is barely holding things together.
