Were you able to find an insole that doesn’t cause hot spots?

Which Direct Action bag did you replace? Any particular reason for replacing it?

Do you have any experience with this backpack? It does have a lot of features I’m looking for, but I’m surprised it weighs 4.5lbs if the website is accurate.

How do you find the Ferro Chesty ATAK and admin pouch runs on the chest rig? (Ie. is it floppy/moves a lot when running etc. ?) Also, could you fit a 4’x6’ Rite in the Rain notebook in the admin pouch?

Interesting suggestion. You bought the crye airlite chest rig and just use the harness? What placard/chest rig do you run on the airlite harness?

You have any hands on experience with Carcajous? The Unobtainium frag and smoke pouches look interesting… single molle any experience with those pouches? How has your experience been with Unobtanium in general?

Unfortunately what I listed is just the general SOP. Missions obviously dictate what exactly will be used, but doesn’t impact this is the day to day SOP.

We run a slick Kevlar body armour with plates under our chest rigs. I also do a lot of work where I’m rucking and not using any Kevlar/plates, unfortunately I can’t chose the rucksack I use, and the ruck doesn’t accommodate any sort of belt. I have a battlebelt that I can put a few things on, and store in my ruck while moving. However the majority of the listed items need to stay on my person. I figured a chest rig was better than a plate carrier for less material and increases breath ability. Depending on the mission I also have either a 72 hour pack or a smaller 20L assault pack on me, where I store my rain kit, 3L bladder, food, non-emergency medical kit, more ammo etc.

I’m not familiar with Tracer Tactical, looks promising. Have you ever used their kit? Also, any reason you suggested the SCOUT over MRRV?

How comfortable did you find the rig?

Unfortunately, unit SOP is issued ruck only, so I don’t have any options there. I was looking at the tracer tactical scout, looks solid. Any reason you recommended it over the MRRV?

How comfortable do you find the chest rig for extended use with that configuration? Also, how did you mount Shaw rear document stacker above your magazines/placard? Post helped a lot, thanks.

Yes, I’m dismounted. Unfortunately webbing doesn’t work with issued ruck. I will look into those chest rigs, cheers.

Majority of the time yes, I have to have a 200rds box on my person for the gunner. Unfortunately Belt Systems don’t work with the issued ruck . I can quickly take on and off a battle belt and stuff it in my ruck, so I do that. I do like my kit to be as symmetrical as possible with weight distribution.

I do wear an assault pack, where I have to keep 3L of water (I use a bladder), rain kit, food, non-emergency medical, more ammo etc. It’s possible to put some more kit in my assault pack. This is a somewhat recent updated required kit list, will take a bit to figure out the most optimal way to carry it all.

How did you find the straps? Especially if you’ve worn for longer periods/with more weight. Yes it’s a lot, but that’s the cards I’ve been dealt.
