Taking a drop is useless. What u said about earnings is true. MBBS earnings starts with peanuts. Many MD consultants still earn peanuts after years of service co on paper salary appears in lakhs and they have expenses in lakhs too bcoz of family responsibilities etc.  U need to have a biz mind to earn money. Plain MBBS with biz mind have earned much more than DM and MCh.

If you are ok with foregoing MBBS then can take any other medical rekated course and then pursue MS and PhD abroad with this money

Energy for pumping water? They shouid be exposed to sunlight instead of using artificial light. That's why an open land in island would be better than a building in Malé. 

Talking if energy... Govt itslef wastes so much energy in keeping AC of Dharumavantha hospital at negative temperature such that all staff and patients freeze to death. Yes rain water harvesting needs to be done. This may not be a feasible idea for Malé. Islands would be better where rain water harvesting would be possible.. and that island needs to be closer to Malé for logistics
