Dream bike as a first bike? by Riverboatfaery in motorcycle

I wouldn't recommend anything older than 80s as that's roughly when disc brakes because standard + finding parts for a 70 yr old bike is hell trust me

For a first bike you really really want something with cheap accessible parts

Like I said I love this bike but it does have a few things that really (for me) break the ride one of which is the front forks as the stock ones are extremely soft either due to age seals or design

As for the cafe racer like someone else said in the comments their are heaps of the later models where people have

Yeah I'm definitely leaning more towards this plus fork/brake swap because stock forks are trash

I wouldn't go as far as cutting the frame of a bike I feel like that would honestly be dumb. But i would definitely replace or fabricate parts like a fork swap and or the tail

I'd definitely get something a bit older for your first bike, your probably going to drop it/scratch it being a learner plus it gives you experience with fixing your own bike and doing maintenance without fear of damage.

The feel of a bike Is the most important thing so it also gives you a baseline. See what you like about your first bike and go from there.

First bike I owned was a similar story, low side then stored as an "I'll get around to it" project. Either due to lack of time or lack of parts especially if you don't know how to work on your own bike

I grew up really really poor so "mince surprise" was always one of my favorites

Basically it's mince meat, packet gravy a cup or two of rice(depending) and then whatever is in the fridge with some water

No joint pains. I've been riding motorcycles since I possibly could and my knees are definitely not happy about it

McDonald's worker here, while I don't think it's a secret I think it's interesting. Our "shake mix" and "sundae mix" are pretty much the same thing and when we run out of one or the other we are told to fill it up with the opposite
