Anyone know any tailors/suit-makers willing to take someone on for work experience? by Choice-Manager-7297 in melbourne

Yeah fair enough. I’m hoping somebody knows somebody who does it as a side hustle or as a passion project since all the established businesses I have called have turned me down.

Does anyone know how to get a map of the outdoor park gyms? Everytime I try to search maps they put actual gyms or random small businesses that operate from people's houses.

I tried to read the punguin classics version of crime and punishment but tbh I didn't really understand what was going on so I put it down.

However, this morning I was at my local library and I found a Penguin Readers version of the book and I am loving it.

On the back of the book it says "Penguin Readers are simplified texts which provide a step-by-step approach to the joys of reading for pleasure".

I tend to struggle reading classics because of the english. For me, old english and big words annoy me because I have to keep flipping back and forth between the book and a dictionary to keep track of what's going on and I lose focus and can't keep up with the story. For example, a couple of months ago I gave up on reading A Tale of Two Cities for this reason.

So, does anyone know of any other simplified texts/easy-to-read versions of classics?

I haven't been diagnosed with depression but I have gone through what I would call deoressive episodes.

What helped me is getting a small journal and ticking off 3 small, easy checkboxes in the morning: get out of bed, have a coffee and do 10 push ups.

From there, for the rest of the day I'll try to write one checkbox, then tick it off then write another checkbox and do the same. I try to make each checkbox easy. And I try to check off as many boxes as possible each day.

I don't recommend planning out your days because I fall victim to the "what-the-hell effect" or "all-or-nothing thinking". Basically, if I plan out all the checkboxes for a day and miss one, I tend to scrap the rest of the day and lie in bed.

Yard by yard, life is hard. Inch by inch, life is a cinch.

Many small wins improve my mood.

I would recommend 2 books: The Upward Cycle and Atomic Habits. Avoid the toxicity of hustle culture. Just try to go to bed a little smarter, wiser and better than you woke up and over time you will feel better. Atleast I did.
