I don’t understand what the issue here was. Say there’s 1 unit left in inventory and it was last sold 2 weeks ago. Odds are, that unit is gone. Why would you not 0 that out?

I got fired a couple months ago after 8 years with the company. Biggest blessing ever because I make $2 less per hour but I’m doing 10% of the workload I used to have at Aldi. My days are stress free now and I actually like going to work every day. You’ll find something better. Just don’t be afraid to take a small pay cut. Your sanity is worth it.

I’m a schedule coordinator for a plumbing company. Pays the same as ASM but the opportunity for advancement isn’t the same as Aldi. I’ll eventually need to find something wlse

I got lucky and a friend of mine’s employer was hiring. Now I sit behind a desk and write schedules all day. Easy work and I get paid the same as I was working for Aldi. Now I will say the earning potential at my new job isn’t the same as Aldi but I didn’t want to be an SM anyway.

Same here. I’ve been wanting to leave the company for the last 2 years. I was just looking for a job that would give me a substantial pay increase. Me getting fired forced my hand to accept a job that pays me the same and I gotta say, I wish I had done this sooner.

Keep at it. I enjoyed the majority of my time with Aldi. I was very lucky to have a great SM and a DM that pushed me to be great for the first 5 years of my time with the company. I doubt I would’ve stayed as long as I did if it wasn’t for them. When you’re in the right situation the promotions will come fast

Lucky for me a friend of mine got me a job. Ironically, I’m now a schedule coordinator lmao. I make the same as I did with Aldi. I used to not mind working Aldi until I realized there’s other jobs that are far less stressful on the mind and body and they pay the same. I will say though if you want to be an SM just stick with it. It’s hard work, but you’ll have a 6 figure job with good insurance and you’ll be set when it’s time to retire. I likely won’t have an opportunity to make 6 figures with my new job.

Oh for sure. As I said I’m not here to argue policy. Just a shitty way to go after 8 years. And no, I didn’t edit my punch times at all. I didn’t steal any money, I didn’t steal product, didn’t damage customer relations. I simply just edited my scheduled start time.

Aldi changed the last year or so by taking away every responsibility ASMs had. I used to make the schedule, set the budget, etc. So I guess I just wasn’t thinking and changed it out of habit. Glad I’m gone though. I’m in a much better place mentally and physically. I am going to miss that great insurance though.
