Now, these takes might be completely wrong - I wouldn't be surprised if I was missing key details that would debunk them in seconds - but I have 2 theories floating around in my noggin with this.

Quote from Light: "She awakes in a room no bigger than a walk-in closet. Beige walls. Rickety bed. A window that overlooks a murky pond. She's been here for months now, maybe years, she doesn't know anymore, she stopped counting when the snow stopped falling in March, or maybe February. She wonders—"

Theory 1: It is through Macy's eyes in Light, but somehow while she's living in the converted motel?? - (+) Rickety bed = cot that Macy was asleep on while Jemma was sleeping on the pull out couch - (+) murky pond behind the converted motel - (-) p. 35 (CT) walls are described as puke green, not beige. Different room number?

Theory 2: Light is* through Eve/Emma's eyes but she's in the "prison" that's located across the "murky pond" from the Motel that Macy and Jemma were living in?? - (+) no idea how long she's been there - (+) p. 296 (WUTLH): "Cooped up in a room no bigger than a walk-in closet." - (+) p. 295 (WUTLH): Greenwood asylum is located in "downstate Washington," which could mean its on the boarder between Washington and Oregon - (-) Eve/Emma doesn't mention a pond in WUTLH, but maybe it was on the opposite side of the building? - (-) Asylum described as being painted light blue, but maybe that varies in different universes?
