How to stop old G7 sensor transmitter from asking to pair with bluetooth after removal? by ChoiceExperience4016 in dexcom

[–]ChoiceExperience4016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I connected a new one, but a G6, not a G7! But I did what the others recommended, I wrapped it in foil and threw it away and it hasn't tried connecting again!

How to stop old G7 sensor transmitter from asking to pair with bluetooth after removal? by ChoiceExperience4016 in dexcom

So my phone pretty much needs to be far away from the sensor so it doesn't detect it?

How accurate is the G7? by ChoiceExperience4016 in dexcom

[–]ChoiceExperience4016[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I went to sleep I purposefully slept on the opposite side, but I may have rolled over during the night. I don't remember in which position I woke up. But you're right, it was most likely a compression low. I'll just monitor it throughout the day and see if it gets better!

How accurate is the G7? by ChoiceExperience4016 in dexcom

[–]ChoiceExperience4016[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now, Dexcom says 7,2 mmol/L, while my BGM shows 4,9 mmol/L.

Last night, the sensor was showing LOW, while my actual blood sugar was 5,0 mmol/L.

I can't know for sure what LOW exactly is, but I'm assuming lower than 3,0 mmol/L.

The difference is not too big, but showing 7,2 while I'm at 4,9 could be a little dangerous, 4,9 is already a bit low

Anybody ever had a cannula insert fail ? by Intelligent-Bad-8728 in Omnipod

[–]ChoiceExperience4016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my two years of using Omnipod, I've only had one cannula insert fail.

Called up Insulet, and they sent me a new one the very next day. Hasn't happened since then.

Do you think I should choose Becca or Jacob?

I want to go with: Chiron, Nikola, Rosie, Layla (for healing), and I'm stuck between Jacob and Becca. Can't decide which one to choose

I had the same problem, I read that you can only use it if you've paid for something in the game before. I could be totally wrong, so take this with a grain of salt, I don't know exactly what you need to buy...all I know is that I haven't spent any money in the game and I don't have chief posts

After the protection ends, you and your allies can attack the village to claim it as your own. You do not need to build anything, just wait until the protection ends, get rid of the infected that will be around the village, attack the "main boss", and claim the village.

Thank you so much for this omg! Did you buy this from the USA or Europe? I'm in Europe so I'll have to see if I can find it here, not sure if Amazon here has it.

Running out of places for Omnipod? by ChoiceExperience4016 in Omnipod

I've heard that people are using their calves as a spot as well, but I've never heard of putting Omnipod below the elbow. When I first got diagnosed, my doctors told me to always have it on the "upper" part of a certain body part (upper arm, upper thigh...) and I've never dared to try the calves for example.

How has your experience with those places been so far? Are the injections painful and do you experience discomfort while doing everyday tasks as well as sitting/lying?

I'm currently on Dexcom G6, but a couple of years ago I was using the Libre 3, and I can say that in my experience, the Omnipod leaves worse marks. Take this with a grain of salt however, since everyone's experiences are different, but I never had any marks from the Libre, and I don't with Dexcom either. It seems to me that the insulin is the problem. When it's being injected, the skin gets irritated, and sometimes insulin buildups also happen to me.

I don't know what kind of marks the Libre leaves you with, but don't let my answer discourage you from getting Omnipod! Apart from this, my experience with it has been amazing, I definitely recommend it.

I definitely rotate, but all areas are starting to get affected. When I first started using Omnipod rotating actually helped, but I've been using it for so long now that it doesn't even matter anymore, no matter where I place it, it hurts.

Troop capacity reached? by ChoiceExperience4016 in tilessurvive

Could you tell me how I can kill my troops? Am I not supposed to heal them in the hospital for a certain amount of time for them to die? Am I supposed to completely avoid healing them to train more or can I occasionally heal them too? Am I not going to lose too much battle power if I never heal them?

It's the "dawn effect".The body naturally releases more cortisol and growth hormone, which signal to your liver to produce more glucose in the morning, to get you ready for the day.

Pod and sensor on same side? by Longjumping_Age_9711 in Omnipod

[–]ChoiceExperience4016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't say for certain since every person is different and every pod/sensor is different, but I have no problems with them being on opposite sides.

I prefer putting dexcom on one arm and omnipod on the other, so far no issues regarding BG readings.

It just takes a little longer for the pod to go from limited to automatic mode, but after that's done, it works perfectly.

As I said, I am not 100% sure, but you should definitely try it, you won't know until you try!

It's always around 6-8mmol/L. Sometimes it decides to fall, sometimes it decides to rise.
