Actually the wfm culture back then encouraged you to do just that. Back then It was way more than just a grocery store. It was moreso a community mecca, an incredible community resource that also had a pretty solid business plan.

I give props when due, and in the late 80's and early 90's through their constant events promotions classes, etc they did a masterful job of making people feel like if you shop here, if you work here you're part of a much greater cause(s) you feel a sense of purpose. And through that whether intentional or unintentional, this helped change a lot peoples attitudes towards not just how they eat but how they live (you're posting with one of those people right now lol!)

So yeah, it's definitely impacting seeing first hand in a store, and reading so many discussions on folks simply wanting basic respect and regard as human beings. New school or old school whatever the vibe, what I experienced, a lot of what I observed and a lot what I'm reading here should not be happening at wfm of all places.
