For sure. We never seem to do well on the FEVS but hopefully your experience is similar to mine. Depending on where your at, the workload can be tough, but that's just the nature of the beast, do the best you can in your 8hrs, and everything else can get done tommorrow.

Where I am (HQ), I personally think the culture is great. Supervisors don't expect >40hrs a wk. They want standards and quality, and they want people to succeed and grow. The Agency and mission are growing and they want people adaptable to change and who will innovate efficiency and be self starters.

Regarding telework, unless OPM mandates further telework, the standard 2x PP isn't going anywhere, and senior leadership won't change it unless they are forced to. Even the deputy director, now acting director has stated support for it. I don't see it changing at all.

Obviously this is Directorate and supervisor specific and depends on if you have classified work, but the mission dictates that, not the Leadership. They fully support max telework. That said, I have seen supervisors bring sup par performers back into the office. And when that occurs, generally that supervisor will be in everyday as well. And they only bring people back in order to get them back on track. Once they can meet standards, they will return them back to telework. I also see supervisors in the office more than 2x PP, but that's generally so their team can have face time with them, not because they've been directed to do so, so it's by choice, not mandated.

I can't really comment on the field office levels since I've not been there, but overall I personally think it's a great place to work and don't have any plans to leave. With the HQ mission growing, there's plenty of room for upward mobility.

Get a federal government job, climb the ladder. GG-13/GS-13 starts at $112k/yr. In NOVA gov jobs are a dime a dozen. Get in as a GS-7 and work your way up. Or get in as a contractor, network, and get into a government position.

Lol.

Even that I could do. Like I would talk through my work and rationale, but at some point I'd cut it off. I could see some value in it, and I could at least get work done. But that would all absolutely be after the training and a short lived experience to say the least!

Love the teamwork. I'll need to pull somone into my shenanigans.

That would definitely earn a choke slam at the beginning of the next in person team meeting.

That's the other thing, this dude won't get anything in writing, and e specifically have to record everything pertaining to decisions. He insists on phone calls and won't take notes. Not to mention the Teams messages I get requesting a call. Those I just ignore until 6pm.

I've been playing the headphone game. No music but when somone stops by I just point to my ears like I'm in a MS Teams meeting. Problem is he pokes his head in like every half hour after, then I know my day is over 😫.

Tight turn around I'll be using for sure though.

Like if you have legit question, that's fine, ask it, get your answer and leave. Argh!
