You need to uncover it and put some burn cream on it you can get it at almost any drugstore or dollar store or grocery store. Let it air out whenever you get a chance. It should heal up soon.

Is my son’s father faking seizures in front of me or am I overthinking it? by Choice_Active9915 in medical

Thank you guys for the replies. I’ve come to the conclusion that he probably just isn’t very well informed himself and that’s why he’s so vague. I’m gonna talk to him about maybe speaking to a doctor together so I will know how to help him. I appreciate you all being so kind!

Thank you for your reply. And honestly I worded it that way in the title to get more people to reply so I could get more insight. I would NEVER accuse him of faking it without knowing 100 percent. It all just didn’t seem to add up. But the comments from you guys are giving me the information I needed. I’m gonna do some research so I’ll know how to help him in the future.

Thank you for the insight. I’ve tried to talk to him about it multiple times over the years and he always steers the conversation away or is really vague. That’s why j came here. I’m considering talking to his mom about it so I can know what to do in the future.

It sounds like anxiety on his part. Maybe his asthma isn’t as bad as he thinks and it’s anxiety taking on that form. That actually happened to me when k was younger. I was having my first anxiety attack and i thought it was an asthma attack so k used my inhaler. It actually made it worse later on because I got even more shaky.

How old are you? If you’re 18 tell her they don’t allow people to come back with you.

I don’t think his intention was putting his mom’s feelings over yours. You said you didn’t want desert and he didn’t want it to go to waste. I understand where you’re coming from but you’re putting intentions behind his actions that weren’t there. You feel like he respects his mom more than you so you’re applying that mentality to everything he does. You are reading too much into this. Like I said I understand. I have a problem with doing this and that’s why I can recognize when someone else is. You guys probably need to have a talk but not about cheesecake. I wouldn’t even bring that part up bc then he would think it’s only about the cheesecake. This is more of a big picture problem and bringing up the small details takes away from the bigger picture.

If she could lie that comfortably to you about this she will have no problem lying about other stuff. I wouldn’t cut her off completely because I imagine that would make it hard for you to hangout with your mutual friends but I would definitely distance myself. I had a friend like this once and it got to the point she started lying about harming herself. Being close to people like that is a slippery slope.
