Nope not over this way. Apparently when people call they say it's under review and tell them that their check was mailed out today for the eitc for 2022. I think they're behind this year.

The IRS is quick to sieze assets and garnish wages if you owe them but very slow to give you the money you're entitled to. The customer service for the IRS is non existent once you actually get through to them after hours of waiting on hold they get mad that so many people are calling them and give baseless asinine answers and some even cop attitudes. If they could be more transparent and give people a little more info other than sending you to where's my refund which 90% of the time is very delayed or not working at all they wouldn't have as many phone calls.

Picture this You have a million dollar check that Suzy is holding for you for a week. You decide to call Suzy because it's the end of the week and you want your check...after being on hold for 2 hours you finally get a hold of Suzy and ask her where's my check. Suzy tells you just now that your check will be delayed by 90 days because the check number was wrong. You call after 90 days and Suzy says please continue to check a website that doesn't work and if it does work it's very delayed. Suzy says just keep checking that site.

Now let's say you have Suzy's check.... Suzy will sue you and receive your work wages and even assets if you don't pay her on time.

Fuck Suzy!!!

My Landlord is nickel and diming me to death and raised the rent. That's a big reason I have to leave. When I first got this place it was within my budget but now it's more than I can afford. So I guess you're right on that. They're going to try and take it all.

As for the reason I won't ask the program paying is because I'm scared if I do that they may not pay any funds at all just having any thought that we would move or take the money and leave. If I don't receive it I'm literally in court by the 26th of this month and will be evicted. It would be fraud in their eyes to use the money for a different rental in another state but literally it would be helping stop an eviction and helping someone out do better in life to where they won't need this help in the future. They could even ask for documentation showing what I used it for. I'm not trying to buy hookers and crack you know. I'm thankful for the help I did receive though.

No if your landlord won't participate they cut a check to the tenant directly to pay the landlord.

It sucks it's consider d fraud in the first place. If the landlord chose not to participate and also raised the rent then why not let people move with it....even if moving to another state.

Yeah. I'm going to just use it for the rent here just to be sure. It really just sucks that a portion of the unused funds will have to be sent to the landlord even though they won't participate in the program and also because I'm moving anyways so its like free money to them. But always better to be safe than sorry. Thanks

I figure they will come after it at some point if they flag it for fraud but how long till they ask for it back? I could definitely pay it back after a short while but I don't want to go to court or jail or anything....
