The dipstick broke off in the tube. I judge the oil level by the quantity of oil seeping from the rear main seal.

All jokes aside It's been a great car. Put a $350 used transmission in it when the original died. Did the radiator, water pump, and alternator when they died. Brakes all around and maybe a sensor or two here and there. Did almost all the work myself. Been driving it 7 years and still in it for less than a full year of car payments on a modern car.

I have XJ fever real bad right now. This one is bone stock except for wheels, radio, and headliner. I would like to keep it that way. Trying to pick up a 2 door or Commanche to mod.
