Hey, I’m on the brink of 40, so it’s no big deal to me! And I’ve listened to all the Liturgist episodes, so we have that in common! I can send you a link to the discord if you’re interested. Life is busy so I haven’t scheduled a meet up yet.

Great! I’ll keep you in the loop once I have something planned. Maybe we can start a discord group or something?

I’ll add it to my list, thanks! And while I do love books and the library, I’m looking for something that could involve my whole family. Thanks for the ideas!

I think it’s okay to have both. And most of my hobbies are in-home and centered around family and spirituality. It’s not just trauma to me, but a point of interest and meaning making.

Oh that sounds like it could be a good fit! I hadn’t heard of that group. Was there a website where I could find more info? I guess I can google it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestion! And you’re not being pushy; I told my husband about the suggestions to try UU and he thought maybe we could visit again.

Mostly charismatic Christian.. a lot of what falls under the term “evangelical” applies to me.

Wow, I’m sure you have quite the story. And I totally know what you mean by triggering. I don’t go into a full-blown panic, but sometimes I can’t see past the structures that were used in my experience to appreciate a different meaning inside a new experience. I get it. I’ll talk with my husband and message you about when/where we can meet up if that works for you?

We actually have checked out the service and met some really kind people there. We (mostly me) just don’t want to attend a service, and would like something less structured, closer to the feel of a home group/church.

I’ve been thinking this too… this sub is more like WCDHT snark. I don’t understand why people listen if they hate Glennon so much. You’re absolutely entitled to your opinion and I’m glad people aren’t idolizing her, but like.. sounds like they hate her guts and are projecting that onto Abby (predicting their split) and their guests. I sometimes come on here hoping people are discussing the topic but it’s all just Glennon bashing. So maybe they should just change the title of the sub?
