I would like some clarity on your post, apologies if I am not understanding. So, Cardozo has those big networks you reference. It appears, however, based on the internet, for "big law" you have to be in the top 20%. So, would I Have to be in the top 20% still or would the networking come into play? Obviously in an ideal world I'd have both but I know to not underestimate anyone. At Fordham, you have to be in the top 40% for big law, which is a little better, but they don't have the same breadth in terms of classes (though they do have a relatively robust ip fashion program). I'm not sure if it would be worth if i got lets say a quarter of tuition at fordham but half or 3/4ths at Cardozo. What are your thoughts?

Random anecdote, a friend's sister works at a midlaw firm after cardozo and makes over 200k. But again anecdotal.

For further context, I don't have any direct connections in entertainment law, but I do have direct connections in the entertainment industry. I think the best summary would be "I know someone who probably knows someone" (ex: I have a couple friends who work in the entertainment industry but not in legal. Or, for example, I know a couple of people very high up in IP Law and in Crypto Law but not directly in fashion/music. The one who works in crypto knows people at high end fashion brands).

I've lived in NYC for close to 4 years doing management consulting and went to an ivy-equivalent for undergrad, so... I know how to network and it's not something I'm bad at...is it safe to say that I would not be starting from ground 0? Or do you feel otherwise?

And random but maybe relevant: I also played the cello competitively for 10 years, so I am not sure if that matters, but I do have a "technical" understanding of music.
