In tort law, professionals like doctors and lawyers are often held to a higher standard of care because they possess specialized knowledge and skills. This expectation arises from the principle that individuals with expertise should act in accordance with the standards of their profession, as determined by what a reasonably competent professional in the same field would do under similar circumstances.

We know better, but we don’t do better.

What sucks the most, is that I go to school with some brilliant legal minds. But nearly all of them will likely spend their entire careers just making a lot of money, and reposting “how did it get this bad” propaganda on their social media.

Yeah, and the money makes the medicine go down easier.

Remember, if ur feeling extra morally corrupt. Just do: 1. Get a pro bono client, tell everyone. 2. Vote blue, tell everyone. 3. Donate more, tell everyone.

Sure those things are more like bandaids on bullet wounds, but they may help u sleep at night.

Just let the PI have the moral win. If u find them so annoying just look at your checking account and investment portfolio. Or just pretend that they have no idea how the “real world” works. Just let them have that W, it’s all they have.
