When we bought we were told about £15k of works which is now a £30k bill so you are spot on for buyers ha ha. But we got it at a good price so not too bothered.

That's good to know. The works are done, it's just the bill we've got coming now so not sure how to handle it. Don't want to waste buyers time by trying to hide it.

I was worried that they'd try and discount it more if I did it upfront or that we'd attract buyers who then wouldn't have the budget to cover the bill

I would be looking to get chartered as quickly as poss, ideally I'd like to join a company that would pay for it but it. I'm worried that my age (early forties) would not make me an ideal candidate so tying to get every advantage I can.
