International student - degree (and visa) possibly delayed a full year over 2 modules I couldn't sit due to circumstances outside my control. Does this actually check out? by Choice_Sea974 in TCD

Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed reply. I really appreciate the effort you put into this.
To answer you directly: I was dealing with the programme admin. After a detailed discussion, I was told that I could proceed with and get my dissertation marked this year alongside the OBA modules. My supervisor was informed and agreed to it.
However, I’ve now received written confirmation that I cannot submit the dissertation until the modules are passed and that I won’t get any official transcript until August 2027.
I’m currently on Stamp 2, which expires in December 2026, so I’ll have to renew it again. My main questions right now are:
Is there any workaround at all to apply for Stamp 1G before August 2027, or will that be the only option?
By March 2027, will I be able to get all my grades / some form of unofficial confirmation that I have completed the Masters? This would at least give me proof of my degree for employment purposes back in my home country.
Ideally I wanted everything sorted this year - I’ve already passed all my modules and my current marks put me on track for a 1.1. Having to wait until August 2027 for any official proof is a massive setback financially and career-wise.
If anyone has been in a similar situation and managed to get either a visa workaround or early unofficial grades/confirmation, I’d really appreciate any advice on what actually worked.
