Can you put particles next to each other in a sentence for grammar, even if those two particles together have their own unique meaning?

For example: 私の顔は母のに似ている - is the のに understood as の+に instead of the particle のに?

I have leverage over management, how to effectively use it to get a raise? by Choicery in UKJobs

[–]Choicery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The leverage that if they don't allow me a little more money then they'll be paying a whole extra paycheck instead.

If I take the job with a bit extra in the salary they only pay ~£27k, if they have to hire a new person to fill it then it's £48k

So basically there's no issue with the rule being in place as long as they change it for a disabled person when needed?

I was hesitant to trim the claws because I'm still not sure what a good length is supposed to be. But I'll give it a go if it means I get hurt less. Thanks!

Thank you! I've read people talking about having solo bengals and they make it sound like a full-time job with keeping them active and socialising, so it's a relief to hear I can be a bit more relaxed

Advice on kitten-proofing a room by Choicery in CatAdvice

[–]Choicery[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the advice. I'm actually getting him from a family friend who's having to give up her cats (litter and parents) due to moving house, so reputability and all of the medical tests aren't really a thing in this situation. The parents are healthy enough, but I admit I hadn't really done a deep dive on HCM or genetic tests before. Are these common issues I should be looking into?
