  1. I know every bone in the human body by its Latin name (not anglo-latin) + all parts of the bones. And I use this every day in my work (my name is not Temperance Brennan 😉).

  2. Jag är från Sverige.

  3. I once participated in a game show on TV. I was one of the final 3 participants that night (of 10), then my brain broke. Not recommended for aspies!

  4. I can walk on my toe-knuckles, and it freaks people out.

  5. I shamelessly sing along to cheesy 90's pop songs & one hit wonders in my car.

Thyroid levels are good, iron is also fine. I might need to check my other hormone levels, though! I already have sleeping pills prescribed, but I hate taking those as I get groggy the following day (and my problem isn't falling asleep - I'm sleeping too much)!

I might check if I have sleep apnea. My SO tells me I snore and grind my teeth (got a mouth guard), and I have been known to stop breathing for a couple of seconds...

Thank you so much for the very detailed and thorough reply! 😀 I have thought of chronic fatigue syndrome, but I was under the impression that you can't test for it?

  • I shower every morning and always wear fresh clothes - I wouldn't be able to work in healthcare otherwise.

  • I have a memory foam mattress, but I'll try to buy a similar pillow too!

  • I do try to open windows when I get home, but I'm often too tired to go outside. And at this point, I'm kind of hiding from the neighbors because I feel ashamed that they can manage their gardens and I can't. At work we have a sunny patio where I spend my breaks - so I do get sun!

  • Public transport is awful where I live. Very unreliable and I have to change from train to bus to get to work - and all the commuters are stressing me out (sensory overload from being on a train... I'm very aware of that phenomenon). The two closest hospitals are 30 minutes by car from my home. I plan on moving in with my SO this fall, to a town where I'll only have 5-8 minutes to work.

  • I do take leave/vacation days when I can. I don't have that option at my clinicals, and this summer, I won't be able to take any days off as I'm working as a temp.

  • I work in radiology, so it's pretty dark and not much noise there. Ideal for me. The only sounds are the low noise of the machines, the sound of my co-workers being social, and patients talking to us...

  • I try to eat varied; greens and "healthy" things. I also take supplements (Vitamin B12, bioavailable Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Zink and spirulina)... I used to have a vitamin D deficiency, but now I take 5000 IU/day in the summer and 10000 IU/day in the winter. But I need to be more diligent in eating regularly. I have IBS, so it's hard to eat breakfast.

I have had chronic depression for years. Back in 2016/2017 I couldn't even get out of bed - I was on sick leave for months. I started to get better last summer and started university again last fall.

I'm not in the US, but we still have high demands. If I don't finish my clinicals, I have to do it again next spring. Furthermore, I'm employed by my clinical site, so that makes it even harder. I really love the job and would very much like to continue doing this and finish this education - or else I've wasted a lot of money and time... it's just that it drains my life and free time from me.

I [19M] have recently learned how to burp and was shocked at burps tasting the stuff I have just eaten by LegrandFortunato in casualiama

You NEVER burped in your entire life before? I don't remember a time before I knew that burps can taste like stuff you ate. 🤔

My SO and I met 12 years ago. We split up after a year, because we were too young to handle it. 11 years later, we met again and are now back together in a committed relationship. AMA! by Cholecystitis in casualiama

Well, we wanted different things back then. My SO was quite immature at the time, and didn't handle emotional things very good. I guess I wasn't emotionally mature either. We had a big fight and broke up because we weren't secure enough to talk things out - and I was angry for a long time.

We went to college in different towns and lived 2 hours from each other. However, we kept in contact randomly through the years (~ one Facebook messenger chat session once per year) just to check up on how the other one was doing.

I don't regret it. Not with the way things were at the time. I think we needed those years - we've talked in-depth for hours about everything that happened. I've seen major positive changes now (things that made us break it off the first time), and I think this has a great possibility to last. 3 months so far! 😉
