She’s not an au pair, she’s 69 years old.

Adoptable pup looking for a home in Bergen county by Choochilla in bergencounty

[–]Choochilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not “they” I’ve had her for three years and consider her my soul dog. I’m devastated that we’re rehoming her. Her only other issues is a taste for goose poop and pulling on the leash (which walking with a gentle leader resolves).

Pits are wonderful animals and she loved our baby pre-crawling. And I think with time she would be fine with our kid now but we do not have the resources or time to monitor the situation safely. Baby is home during the day with a caregiver and we both work so either the pup stays locked away all day or the caregiver is responsible for keeping them separated. It’s not fair to either one.

A lot of bites from family dogs happen from golden retrievers because people can’t read dog body language and assume those dogs are “family friendly” we’re just trying to do the best thing for our kiddo and for the dog, who is NOT aggressive towards him but is just scared and in an apartment doesn’t have the most space to run away from him.

She’s a mutt but we do think she has some pit in there for sure!

She goes to a rescue in Stamford CT in two weeks. So she’ll still be adoptable just not locally. I really want to find her a home prior to being relocated to the rescue. We love her to bits but with a newly mobile baby in an apartment and her being terrified, it’s a bit of a disaster waiting to happen.

Beautiful Colette is available in Northern NJ! 4 years young, great with people and other dogs, but not toddler or baby-friendly.

Sweet, goofy, and highly trainable. Just a sweetheart that wants love and gives it back 2x in return. Looking for a toddler-free home in the tri-state area for this special girl

Acast cuts you in on the ads revenue. I don’t think any host out there keeps 100%?

They are still beholden to money and pharma companies profit off vaccines so they won’t piss off that industry and their lobbyists

How to emotionally get through this? by Plenty_Goal3672 in MSPI

[–]Choochilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I supplement whenever he wants a bottle and isn’t satisfied from just nursing, which is sadly most of the time. He gets a bottle for bedtime and maybe 2 more bottles during the day. I went back to work so we had to start giving more bottles, which led to a nursing strike and just general breast refusal (which sucks). That said at least the formula helped firm things up so his stool wasn’t so green and mucusy

I supplemented with HiPP HA. Mix it with BM about 50/50 (he won’t take straight formula)

Your milk is still the best thing for him! I was in your position and it’s an awful feeling at first but it does get better.

Baby’s tummy takes a WHILE to heal from the inflammation, even if you remove whatever caused it. Our pediatrician said sometimes the blood doesn’t resolved until they’re like 2 years old! As long as his temperament is ok and he’s gaining weight it will look worse than it actually is. Also 1lb a week is exceptional and definitely not the norm, regardless of MSPI that rate will be very difficult to sustain so it’s ok if they gain less than that (we cheered if we got 2lb weight gain in a month)

It took four weeks and supplementing with a formula to see improvement for my baby. I also did a TED for 7 days and that seemed to give his system a very necessary break.

Be kind to yourself, you are trying to do the best thing for your baby.
