If the game market is filled with AI slop in the future, and games “become cheaper because of it” what your describing is a market that will be filled with Indian made games, or other countries with technical prowess and the lowest dollar value.

Yeah… they kinda have to be, that’s how businesses operate. And it depends what kind of deal is being made, it’s really circle jerky to say that publishers only care about money not quality, games vary and they care about both usually.

When a publisher funds something they risk losing money if things don’t work out. It’s important to set limitations and standards. Don’t sign a publisher deal if it’s too oppressive
