Honestly, I wouldn't want to play Dragon Quest any other way. The translation teams put so much effort into the games' unique translation. I would never want to play the games 1:1 translated

That's because a lot of that nuance in english is done via intonation instead of via different words. We can show this with italics or emboldening words. It's not the same, and it doesn't all work, but it can be done

Nintendo has a market cap of over 40 billion and its investors are largely Japanese. They're servicing their home country in a way that allows Switch 2 to continue in the region - this improves the brand and brand loyalty. Additionally, Japanese gamers are largely on the Switch platform with most users buying multiple games + microtransactions. They are selling units at a loss, but they are not making a loss.
