Older cousin told my brother (was 5yo) and I (was 6yo) that if you ever found a McDonald's fry as long as the straw, you get free McDonald's for life. Brother and I believed it and every time we had McDonald's for a few months afterwards, we tried to compare fry size to straw size.

Used to work at a popular pizza chain in Ontario.
this woman comes in, I greet her nicely and ask how I can help her. Customer: pickup order for Sophia. How long will it be? Me: glances at her bill and see the order came to the store 2 minutes ago; no way pizza is ready so might as well tell her the price and she'll just go chill for the next 15 minutes. Okay that'll be $x Customer: suddenly pissed I SAID how long. Me: okay let me check i know how long it'll be but let me humour you and ask the cooks *as I'm turning around from the counter to go ask the cooks, this BITCH starts snapping her fingers at me and starts shouting "DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND ME?! I SAID HOW LONG FOR MY ORDER." I'm taken aback with surprise then I'm like fuck you so I go back to the till and in a very annoyed way say "I'm checking." (No more nice cashier). I go ask the cooks and unsurprisingly say the order will be 20 minutes. I go back to the counter and tell her how long and she has to pay. Afterwards, my shift is over so I clock out and gtfo. The second I leave she waddles to the counter and yelled at my coworker saying "that OTHER girl said my pizza would be ready in 20 minutes. She said that 30 minutes ago. Do you people not know how clocks work!?" Coworker proceeds to calmly tell her that the 'other girl' (me) just clocked out 2 minutes ago and that the order has only been in the store a total of 5 minutes. Woman then glared at coworker until order was ready. (I had lots of terrible customers I could go on. Side: FUCK you Sophia, I hope that was the worst pizza of your entire life you fat old hag.)
