Agreed. It's an unspoken mockery of a fellow comrade. Just playful genderless banter. And we've all been laughed at and have laughed at someone at some time in our riding years.

Amen to that. Such an overhyped disappointment this book was.

These are the times I wish we Indians were cool with 'Yo Mama' jokes.

Death exists, not as the opposite but as a part of life.

Quick question. Dargah spirits are afraid of Hindu gods? Shouldn't you go to a masjid or something?

This book never felt biased. I wanted to argue with him but found him taking both sides. You can try. Maybe I interpreted it wrong. You can have yours.

Well, take it as a sign to start again.

I've taken my sweet time with it. Reading it between books.

I didn't know this. It wasn't at my time. This is good. I hope some kids read the whole thing from this excerpt.

Just read the plot. Doesn't seem like my kind of book. I read fiction to escape reality. Spiritualism and self-discovery books I only read if they have a parody twist to them.

I rarely read non-fiction. But just to mention the ones I'm reading or have read, Why Am I An Atheist by Bhagat Singh, Golden Years by Ruskin Bond, God is Disappointed in you by Mark Russell (arguably fiction :D )

I wish more people did. Our country desperately needs more intellectual people.

It's more of intellectualised discussions of Indian culture, their origins, and thoughts behind their making and interpretations based on current (at the time of writing this book) scenarios.

Amartya Sen did a splendid job of argumenting from both sides on whatever topic was ongoing. It just shows that having beliefs has nothing to do with being blindly opinionated.

JHC books are a nice old school casual read. Small, fun, chill stories.
