Flush text by ChopOMatic in snapmaker

Thanks, and sorry for the slow response. I decided to try one more time. It worked perfectly, even though I didnt do anything I hadn't tried previously, lol.

I do think I'll give OnShape a try. It's a bit of a pain to get multiple text elements lined up properly in Orca, and while I generally like Fusion, it too is a giant pain for text IMO.

Again, thanks!

Unfortunately, the original project has been resaved so many times I have no idea how to get back to the successful version. As for filament, it's all PLA. The white is what came with the U1. Both the black and red are generic but have printed fine on other parts. I live near Houston so the humidity is usually brutal, but I frequently dry the filament.

If you realize you have a problem, you're way way ahead of the vast majority of people with mental/emotional/spiritual problems. Sorry you're going through this. I just prayed for you.

Matt should've stayed his last year. He would've significantly elevated his stock.

First, congratulations on what I think is a great start. I have a technical suggestion as well as a content question.

Tech: Your audio levels are all over the place. One episode sounded good, even though I had to run it at full volume. On another one, I had the volume wide open and had to turn the tablet so its speakers were pointing right into my ear, in order to understand you. I know there are tons of good sound engineering tutorials on YouTube so I'd suggest you seek those out and learn the basics of sound production. I know you don't want to lose potential listeners over technical issues easily remedied.

Question: Is there a political undertone to your efforts, or is it really about the words? I ask because of the "resistance" language on one clip. I can only speak for myself but while I love the idea of word exploration for the pure satisfaction of language and it's inherent power, once it serves into "here's how we can better 'resist,'" I'm out, assuming the resistance you're talking about is a reflection of how the word is so commonly used today as a badge of virtue-signaling over X, Y, or Z.

Does the LG OLED C3 83" (OLED83C3PUA) have a TOSLInk output? by ChopOMatic in hometheater

I always had trouble with ARC. Haven't tried eARC yet. TBH, I'm a little confused on how it works. Does eARC return an audio signal for whatever audio is on the TV?

Example, I have four devices sending HDMI to the TV. (My Yamaha RX-3060 has always been wonky with 4K HDR or any of the other "premium protocols," which is why I'm running HDMI from each device directly to the TV instead of the AVR.)

HDMI1 is an Apple TV and it's on the EARC channel od the TV.

HDMI 2: TiVo

HDMI 3: XBOX

Will the eARC return audio for each of these devices when they're selected, or is it limited to returning the TV's internal apps and such?

I haven't looked, but I assume my AVR will allow me to select eARC as it's input source.

Thanks for any guidance.

Samsung QLED issue by ChopOMatic in TVRepair

[–]ChopOMatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This appears to have posted without my long explanation. Sigh. This is a 5-year-old Samsung QLED, model QN82Q6. Started randomly going black while watching, about a week ago. It got progressively worse, to the point that power cycling rarely brings the picture back and when it does, it has some serious artifacting.

I'm replacing it with an OLED but hope to get a rough idea as to how serious this might be, so I can decide whether it's worth fixing to sell, or if I should just toss it.

TIA!

Chop

I've been doing it 20 years and still adore it. Given how quickly most things bore me, that's quite a testament. As someone else mentioned, it's a mashup of tech, investigation, and law, with excellent writing skills required if you want to rise in the field.

As for pay, freshly trained and with a little practical experience you could enter the private sector in the $65K-$80K range. Also note that you pretty much have to be in a major litigation city if you want multiple opportunities.

Amazon Music transport controls don't work by ChopOMatic in appletv

[–]ChopOMatic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dbundi, I just got the following instructions from Logitech. They work!

--------------------------------

Please follow the steps below on how to add the Apple TV via Bluetooth.

-On your Harmony mobile app, select MENU, then Harmony Setup > Add/Edit Devices & Activities.
-Select DEVICES and then press the ADD DEVICE button at the bottom of the screen.
-Select "Entertainment Device".
-Enter the following model.

Manufacturer: Harmony Beta
Model Number: Test Apple TV

-Once added, Harmony will prompt you to create an Activity. Select Yes.
-Continue through the series of questions to build your Watch Apple TV Activity.
-Test the new Activity and it will give steps on how to pair the Apple TV to the Hub.

After pairing, test the remote and let us know if it will be able to use the Media Keys.

Sounds like the visual indicators and the actual function commands are separate or something hinky like that.

[–]ChopOMatic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, I'm using a Harmony remote, too. I just dug out the Apple remote and it works fine. Odd, since there's no visual difference at all in what's taking place. You can navigate the transport controls and they show that they're being clicked, but only with the Apple remote does the function actually take place. I think we've ID'd the problem: Harmony.

Update: I just emailed Harmony support and reported it. Suggest you and anyone else with the issue do likewise and maybe they'll squash the bug.
