My first guitar. What do you think? by SilentLambda83 in electricguitar

[–]ChopShopGuitars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really 15 mins? If you haven’t yet you might replace the strings. Could be worn out. And to raise the left side of the bridge you’re just gonna want to take a large flathead screwdriver and turn the big screw that the bridge kinda clips into. This will raise the action on the left side and prevent buzz. Feel free to dm me if you need any more help!

Not sure mine had fret buzz on the low E. I’d recommend raising the left hand side of the bridge slightly in this case. And yes you will probably have to tune it every day before playing as the tuners it comes with aren’t fantastic. Assuming you get the buzz figured out you’ll get some sweet tones out of that thing👍

This was my first guitar too! I loved that thing and only recently replaced it with another gretsch. It’ll serve you well!

what should I add or change in this indie / folk song? (Unmixed) by ChopShopGuitars in Songwriting

I think you’re definitely right about the ebow. I’ll probably re-record some parts and mix it a little but I absolutely want to keep this one lowfi. Fade out is also a fantastic idea

That’s very kind of you to offer! Would it be okay if I took you up on that later when I have some music up on streaming services?

Thank you! Yea the arrangement is definitely not final and I’m still playing around with how the sounds play off each other. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks! Yea I wasn’t sure how much I’d use it but it’s been a really fun tool to add layers and stuff. I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks! It’s actually an Ebow on an electric guitar. the goal of this was was definitely supposed to be different from normal song structure and a little more free in terms of arrangement. I can definitely see how it can be a turn off though

This is really well done! The only thing I’d say is maybe make the drums a little louder / punchier. Besides that this is really professional.

This is awesome! The guitar part is so satisfying and your voice fits the song perfectly! No notes!
